BTW all: I know he isn't a transfer portal player, but he affects how many portal guys we will need, because... Prince-Alexander Moody is going to play as a freshman. He just played in the DMV All-Star game and was interviewed post-game for one minute. The last question: "What are the next steps after this?" "Man, go win a national championship at Indiana. I ain't got nothing else to do. I'm gonna work as hard as I can to exhaustion and be ready for next year."

With only a game left in the season I want to thank everyone that makes this thread awesome during the college basketball season. The site going down at the beginning of the year reminded me how much I enjoy interacting with everyone through out the year. Watching those games without the ability to post on here didn’t feel right. I know it’s hard for some to enjoy college basketball when IU is down but thanks for showing up in this thread. Here’s hoping next year IU has it rolling. Either way look forward to next year already

It sounds like we have the money for 3 high ticket players. Now let’s hope we get the right ones. I’m guessing a PG, a big and a scorer but we’ll see.

Branhams update this morning said were the favorite for Burton and were in it with Miami, NCST, and UoL for Juke Harris. That’s two national guys saying we’re in the mix for Juke Harris for what it’s worth. Not getting my hopes up but he would be a huge get. Harris > Harleson

I like that we are being aggressive in flipping a roster that clearly was not up to the task. I am patiently but anxiously waiting to see how we build the roster largely from the portal again. We will need to nail the eval of our non-star players too... Hope the $$ is ready. And we really have to have some multi-year guys this time.

5241 In the FWIW category ......An IU friend of mine texted me about an hour ago asking if I was aware that we got Adam Olsen from South Alabama. I said that I am aware that he's in the portal and that we might have interest but that I am not aware that we actually got him. He responded that a S Alabama friend & alum told him. When I followed up asking if he's convinced that his friend would know he responded with a fairly compelling answer.

Well, remember, no one from the athletic department actually went to real classes.

Your level of confidence in the IU program as whole shouldn’t be great. It’s been mediocre. It will continue to be mediocre until it isn’t. Here’s hoping to things turning around this portal cycle

Taris Reed played two years at Michigan and two at UConn. During that time, UConn and Michigan won three titles. Despite that, taris Reed never won a title.

.....look, money IS going to be there at IU, it always has been, especially if it's worthy of investing for improvements..... (IU Football, Coach Cignetti and his staff say hello!) Dolson and Co. are not going to let IU BB get another late start and end up grabbing scraps at the end just to build a roster. JMO,.... but big money will be spent on this roster. It's funny when people on here try to say that we can't afford or won't pay that amount of money for certain players......! We absolutey have to spend money and probably more than we would like to spend, but that is the current state of competeing as a P5 school right now. IU has a plenty of NIL money and deep pockets, especially after Dolson's '25-'26 comments about supporting CDD and building last year's roster to "get by".....because of time. Dolson's current project is getting IU BB back to the top or at least relevent. Bottom line, money will be spent and definitely thrown at players this year to build a dramatically, BIGTEN worthy team. After that, it's up to Coach DeVries and his staff to bare the fruit. jmo
