    23rd seems about right to me. I don’t think people should expect a sweet 16 or final four team this year. Make the dance. Develop the team and then in year 3 add the pieces for a run.

    I think we have plenty of wings between who we picked up in the portal, Sisley, and the freshmen. A backup C is what I’d like to see. Even if it’s a developmental guy used for practice. I don’t see us going more than 8-9 deep at most and I think one of the freshmen will contribute, likely Moody.

    Rumor was he was told he wouldn’t be the starter so he went into the portal.

    Meanwhile, 4 Big Ten schools haven’t landed a portal player yet. Iowa, Michigan St, Minnesota, and Wisconsin.

    I’d assume Harris is coming here to start and we need him to step up for sure. Maybe be a 9/10 point a game guy that’s over 40% from 3. I think adding Sherrell is the final piece to our starting 5. Which is a starting 5 good enough to compete with the top of the conference opponents. I agree on the depth argument, and I think we will see a drop off unless the freshmen are ready to go. But outside of Moody, I think they need to add strength before they contribute.

    Adding Sherrill will give us a starting 5 that is top 25. Id expect them to be in that 15-25 range, even if they don’t start the season ranked. The ceiling could be higher if a player like Harris breaks out in a starting role.

    Trilly saying no visit to MSU for Sherrill. Sounds like if nobody jumps in to compete with us financially he will be a Hoosier.

    Thing is, with the money they have allotted to Sherrill, they can pivot and get in on any big they want imo.

    Rabby is feeling good about Burton, Harris, and Mustaf. Sherrill is still a fight.

    Lee deleted his X acct it seems. I get the this account doesn’t exist when I try to go to it.

    Good. That means he will be here with Burton. And if Harris is still here he can be in his ear on why this is a better fit than Duke.
