I'd encourage a lot of our fanbase with complaints about Hoover to watch more college football games across the country. I just watched Sam Leavitt try a jump pass in a collapsed pocket at his own 20. Hoover is not perfect but he's better than 95% of QBs across the country.

He obviously has the tools to be a very good QB, but has really yet to put it together on the field. He's looked bad his first 2 Big Ten games this year. It could be more due to the coaching malpractice currently going on in College Park than Washington's abilities. It would be a much different type of swing than he took with Hoover. It would provide a lower floor, but potentially higher ceiling than Hoover. A lot of football left to be played this year though.

Football recruits commit and decommit a ton. This guy committed to IU, IU then goes on to win the NC, and then he decommits a few months later? My guess is he got a better money offer somewhere and Cig said he wasnt paying. Cig still got him to commit, I dont think its a Cig can't recruit HS problem. I think some guys are more financially motivated than others and Cig has a limit on what he would pay a 4 star freshman guy like him. If a guy wants to decommit after last season because he may not be getting top dollar? Good luck elsewhere imo. Some freshman are going to be worth going over your limit for, but most aren't.

Burton will play at least 30+ mpg at point, and Lyndsay/Moody will spot the remaining minutes most likely. If Burton gets hurt, we're ****ed most likely, but *most* teams are going to be ****ed if their starting PG who averages 18+ ppg is out for an extended period of time. Still need a competent backup big in my opinion for spot 13 (8 or 9 on the depth chart)

Just gotta figure out how to beat NW now. But NW and Maryland are about as good of a draw in the double match up as you could ask for. Plus getting the top 3 teams at home. No excuse to not go over .500 in conference play this year.
