Technically yes but you won’t see many schools use the full 15 allowed now. Revenue sharing is set for 13 so adding anymore then that would mess with that. Who knows anymore but I would be surprised if IU ever used more then 13 scholarships in a year

Watching basketball in July was fun even if the competition wasn’t the greatest. Better than no basketball in July in my opinion.

Games started at 2 today. I’m imagining at 6 IU fans tuning in and they are showing field hockey. lol. It said 122 were watching. Curious to see what that number is when IU(USA) play

Same. I picked up 2 adult and 3 youth for the whole family to go. Any night in the Hall is good night. Great seats as well. Looking forward to watching IU basketball in July

I saw his aunt post something on Facebook about the offer with a ton of old picture of Micah at games and camps with IU gear on (pictures with TJD and others). While nothing is guaranteed this seems to be one of those layups IU has missed in the past. Show the kid a plan and keep recruiting hard and this one should be a layup

Maybe. I can’t see the future so I don’t know what he will play for Tenn St during the season. I can guess Nolan brought him in to be a big piece to repeat as OVC champs so he will play meaningful starter minutes instead of a the 3rd big for a power 5 team

What if the player doesn’t want the role of 16-18 min off the bench. Kid is going to be a stud in the OVC and is going to play a heck of lot more minutes then 16-18 a game being a 3rd big off the bench.

It’s only a poorly constructed roster if they stink. If they win and make a run in March no one will remember or care that they didn’t spend more on a bench. If an injury happens then that’s part of it and he can get ripped for not spending on a bench. Only my opinion but even if they had the money I don’t think they spend it to make the freshman 11,12 and 13 on the roster. His plan is 3 or 4 freshman a year and only use portal for holes. You bring in 3 freshman and put them at the end of the bench and they are not named Sisley then those kids are bouncing. Put those kids 7,8 and 9 with playing time and you have a better chance to retain and build the way you want to build especially with a stud pg coming in 2027. His construction seems to be to build for the long haul instead of trying to build the best roster for only next year. Who knows all I can do is watch and see how it all plays out. It will either work out or it won’t

I would of used IUs stats dating back 16 years compared to those 2 but IU hadn’t been relevant enough for anyone to compare them to those 2 top of the B1G teams in that timeframe

Yeah you could argue Michigan had been the B1G best program over the last 15 years even before May got there. Even Howard led that program to an elite 8. There is no argument to be made that IU was even remotely close to being the best B1G program the last 15 years. Much easier to turn around a program that was rolling that hit a little speed bump for 2 years then a program that’s last 10 years has been 1 big speed bump.

Accept the fact that IU basketball isn’t elite and was lucky to get the money they got to build the roster they have and fill it in with 3 spots that cost next to nothing. Hope the roster is good enough to produce a winning conference record. If it is then hopefully retain and build another roster that can produce another winning conference record.

It is what it is. Won’t be able to please some until IU is back to where it was when they were younger. Doubt it ever gets back to that honestly. Before the end of the year it was IU didn’t make the tourney and has no momentum and won’t be able to land anyone in the portal. They won’t sniff the top 25 next year. Fast forward and they land 6 power 5 players where 5 were starters and multiple places have them in the very early preseason top 25. Now it’s the roster building at the bottom of the roster is trash and they are screwing up. Roster was set a month ago now all that’s left is on court results. Sneak peak in a month but that won’t be the full team. Since IU is representing USA the non USA born players won’t be playing

He is still on scholarship and they won’t go over 13 scholarships. Room for 1 more recruit
