Atwell for Texas Tech was 138. Took him a minute to get going but he has been huge for Tech lately. Shooting the lights out. Feel like he doesn’t miss. Example of mid major to high major success Jalen Washington High major to high Major success. Playing high level at Vandy (165 in the rankings) Jalen Carey in the 220 range is a load down low for Tenn who came from Vandy Talent is in spread out throughout the portal just got to find it

Sad day for me. First time in a while my wife and I won’t be in Dayton for the 1st session and have to watch it on tv. Not happy about it but nothing I can do about it. Cant wait to be in the building tomorrow though. Bright side is I will be able to watch the NIT games on tv tonight along with the First 4 games

2026-27 Roster/Portal/how to fix the roster?
Uspshoosier replied to Asha’man's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
When the season starts -
Identify talent regardless of level or ranking and build a roster. relationships still matter. Watching the Journey, Hoiberg knew Pryce through camps growing up and recruited him out of high school. He knew it would be tonight to get him since playing with his brother would be hard to turn down. The minute Pryce went into the portal Hoiberg was the first to contact him. Despite being 136 in the portal rankings Hoiberg went hard after him got him. First team all B1G. Not bad for the 136th ranked kid out of the portal. Talent is everywhere you just need the relationships and eye to identify it and then land them

You just have to enter the portal within those 15 days you don’t have to commit anywhere by then. -

Day after the National championship game and closes 15 days later -
Ohio St got a high major transfer this last cycle that late in the season had more fouls than points for the year. Creighton got one of the top high major transfers available last cycle and ended up benching him mid season. There are risks regardless of what level you are getting players from
-
I don’t the right answer but there is going to be failures regardless of where you get your players. Low major to high major, mid major to high major and High major to high major. Every one of them is going to have failures and success stories. Just got to hope the staff evaluate and chose wisely.

Oklahoma has been playing the best out of these teams
-
Went from a 16 team field down to 8 this year
-
They cut the field down this year and looks like they got rid of the auto bid for the top 2 net teams from B1G and Big east
-
Crown Oklahoma/Colorado Baylor/Minny Stanford/West Virginia Rutgers/Creighton
-
500 K NIL prize for the student athletes I’m sure that gets split up but that is a reason to play
-
Closest thing might be on Fs1 at 5:30 the Crown selection show is suppose to air

Bracketology and Team Resumes
Uspshoosier replied to Uspshoosier's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
I will never say no to more basketball however I wish if they did expand then add more mid major teams instead of the middle of the pack big conference teams. If they first 4 adds more games I can watch in Dayton then I will get over the fact they expanded -

Transfer Portal w IU Interest

Rod Clark was one of Tennessee top assistants and Barnes was pissed when he left. It is what it is. He went hard after 2 assistants that worked with him before but are at programs that are in better positions than IU is currently. They both got pay raises from their bosses at places that are willing to spend money on basketball. It happens. Frazier wasn’t going to work at IU, Ostrum had already failed at IU as an assistant and the former IU player on his staff got the head coaching job at Oral Roberts. -
