Yeah I’m with you on a lot of this. Appreciate you posting, we all want the same thing here.

A few were outright trolls, including RTZ as evidenced by his stuff today as the DeVries news was breaking. Funny enough Chris repeatedly went to bat for him and chastised me for “crapping on” RTZ a few days ago.

I think some are associated in some capacity with the University and get a lot of value from peddling that connection here. All well and good. But they are so so soooo far removed from actual decision-makers that the information they bring can be suspect. We can question it and shouldn’t be deemed trolls

Nobody with real information is coming here to post daily about what Dolson is thinking or which way the search is leaning. That’s why I’ll put more stock into someone sharing an isolated snippet where they run into someone in the know as opposed to daily musings that end up being just their opinion.

Just responding since you asked. It’s pretty clear after this cycle and the last one how to filter the information on this free message board.

Summed it up pretty well.

To quote a classic: 'Love the one your with... and she said 'you ain't seen nothing yet''...

Honestly I'm just excited to see what he gets as a team. If 10% of what I hear about CW is true and coach D work ethic is close to what some have said - it'll just be nice to have an engaged coach.

My wife's family are 50+ years of U of E season ticket holders and i remember watching Drake in his first years - it was pretty darn amazing the turn around. That's with Drakes budget and reputation- the sell job to get those kids there and believing was nuts. Do I think we brought in a ringer? Nah but I think the possible ceiling is real high. He's hungry- be nice to have a coach that is... (my father in law already texted me 'we got a damn good coach' and he doesn't cuss)

Oh good-you’re not banned.

Why don’t you like the Devries hire?

Because he’s catching strays from his bros. He’s admitted that. FWIW, I don’t know anything about college basketball coaches but I think it’s always better to hire someone on the rise instead of a “retread.” Just because that route failed with Archie doesn’t mean that it’s not the right move.

I've seen more than one place that Dolson had been in conversations with DeVries for over a month. I don't believe this was a spur-of-the-moment hiring but rather one of fortuitous timing thanks to both teams getting snubbed by the selection committee.

Some people won't believe the truth, regardless of facts.
