Since Slater is supposedly, close friends with MM and family, he HAS to know something.... Slater has to have some sort of an idea where MM is leaning. Someone posted on this site or HSN, that his recruitment is quit unique, in that the most respected or trusted media source is not giving his prediction. Either he definitely knows, and wants MM to have his day and announce on HIS terms (out if respect from being close family friends) or MM just can't honestly decide. 

.....I'm hoping for Jared Jefferies results again!

Well I guess it's Kansas. Sorry guys. Not only did KU know earlier about his announcement time way before us, he is announcing it a whole hour earlier to Kansas fans.

I think the staff has done a great job in this recruitment, especially given he was a late target. A lot had to happen quickly just to get him on campus.

I just see him picking Kansas.

Yeah, I'm not waving the white flag yet. 

Knowing the time before the media does not mean in any way that they knew the decision. It's not a big leap to say, a real KU insider likely got the tip and shared that in this discord before IU media got an update from the IU coaching staff.

Doesn't mean coaching staffs weren't informed at the same time of an announcement time/decision being made.

I'm reasonably certain of the following:

• Kansas has the single best sales line; proven collegiate success of so many 6'6"-6'8" wings,
• We have a real shot due to a clearly defined role and a strong NIL program, but only if coupled with him and his family just plain old liking our staff and his future IU teammates better,
• No one has been told the decision, other than Slater and probably by late afternoon the respective staffs,
• If it's not us, most of us will 'get it,' but we will have a few posters that will take over the board for about 24 hours to cry that all is hopeless and sad. The ones that 'get it' will find it so offensive that 'IU fans' don't 'get it', but it will only be a few loud, venting, usual suspects that  say all is lost,
• AND FINALLY...That sadness will last only until we get a glimmer that a different very high-end wing is a viable option, because it's almost guaranteed that will happen too.

So there.

Kansas is the benchmark and the program to beat.  IU was the last visit and family loved it.  My crystal ball has been updated.

If you need some hope, in the video @TeeterInNJ posted, he calls his dad his role model, and by all appearances family is very important to him. IU had the Nigerian flag, that of his dad’s home country, in his locker. IU’s vibe is much more familial than KU’s.
