NCAA MBB Coaching Carousel

^^^^^ This! I hate to quote Calipari but, "Coaches win basketball games, administrations win National Championships." -

It just happened. Calipari. -

Weird vibe. That had all the charm of a hostage video combined with an awkward break-up. -
It is a big country, but more than 75% of the population live in the eastern or central time zones. Why are the networks catering to the minority that live on the inferior coast?

I almost feel like I owe Fred Glass and apology. You may not like his decisions, but he was smart enough to realize that Woodson has no business coaching college and wouldn't even give him an interview. He also hired Teri Moren, so props for that.

If you believe what @KathywithaC had to say, QB told Dolson if he missed on Stevens he had to hire Woodson, which would mean that Woodson was the back-up plan.

Fire Coach Woodson + Assessment of Former Posters

I go away for a week for an ayahuasca retreat and the world goes to hell. Purdue is going to play in the national championship, Calipari is going to Arkansas, the Fire Mike Woodson page gets renamed and passes 1,000 posts, Woodson is still our coach, and now the moon is going to eat the sun. Wait, did I come back from Peru or am I still tripping? $hit, if I am still tripping and this message isn't real, I am still going to post on BTB about how I had a trip and posted on BTB. Is this the real post or the trip post? This is getting meta. -

Ironically, when Goodman asked their wives about which coach they fear the most, the results were reversed. -

Dammit @Home Jersey, I was hoping that you were the person in Jersey that won the Mega Millions and you were going to put up the cash to save us from this tire fire that has been burning for the last 25 years. I guess I will have to put his thread on my back and win the Powerball to save us. You are welcome, BTB. -

In fairness, he had to be at the MCL for dinner at 4:30. Then he has to sort through all of his pill containers and be in the comfy chair before Matlock comes on at 6:00. Lights out by 6:30. He doesn’t have time for any tomfoolery or shenanigans. -

Sweet Mother of Mercy, the IROC is the equivalent of a chicken sandwich with ketchup on it. It is the brown acid (the Timothy Leary kind, not the low pH kind) of automobiles. Not for production or consumption. -

I feel like you are also going to have to purchase an IROC-Z. The amount of money you are going to have to spend on rust repair would probably crater our NIL money. -

Great first post, and not just because you are a fellow Cubs fan. Stick around and post some more. -

So when Woodson said, “We've just got a lot of work to do this summer to get better. I don't want to sit here this time next year and not be playing in the tournament.” He was actually talking about some golf tournament he wants to play in next year. -

I wouldn’t be happy with Painter at all. He has lost to an 11, 12, 13, 15, and 16 seed in the tournament. This is the type of mediocrity that we shouldn’t accept. -

If someone suggested those names for IU, people would being stealing fish from Showalter Fountain (still classier than burning couches). I hate to be a cynic but tell me why we should expect better candidates? How much more are we really willing to pay? How much more will our NIL really be? The only problem with IU’s toxic fans is that they have accepted mediocrity for too long, and have moved the Overton window down to a much shittier position. -
Are we sure we even want Pearl? Seems like kind of a bum to me.

So are we still rooting for Yale, or is there no way that Pearl is coming this year? @JerryYeagley23 & @Chris007, I am looking to you. -
I may or may not feel your pain for similar or unsimilar reasons.
-
Does Calipari survive this? Fans were calling for his head last year. This loss wasn't just bad, it was Matt Painter bad.

I have seen this hairline before. Gohlke is Vegeta. (RIP Akira Toriyama)

Go back and read what he actually said about that bridge. Here are the direct quotes: "Because it’s going to be my job to bridge the gap between young people who don’t know who coach Woodson is and the old-timers who don’t know who I am. I’m going to bring all the old-timers back like the old days, and we going to bridge the gap between old and new." "A lot of these old-timers, they probably look at me as an old-timer. We laid the groundwork for where we are today and those players should never, ever be forgotten and in my heart they won’t ever be forgotten. So I will bring them all back and bridge this gap that’s so desperately needed why the young players and the young fan base that we do have, a lot of these young fan base, they don’t know who I am and I get that." It was always about making sure everyone knew how important Mike Woodson and his buddies were. -
