Yeah, it's crazy how so many of those coaches went on to great success once they got away from the glowing swamp surrounding AH. Those, not fired for blowing up the program and given a 5 year show cause penalty, have went on to stack up 0 NCAA tournament wins. That's kind of an unfair stat by me though as 3 of those 4 haven't made a single tournament since leaving IU. I guess that IU toxiciy is like herpes, once you've got it, you've got it.

How is a top 10 NIL budget, top ten and B1G leading attendance, and state of the art facilities toxic? This! If IU had opened up the same time as UM, dimes to dollars he takes the IU job. If laughable to suggest that any coach would pass up a top 20 program HC position, at the height of his career value at the time, to stay at a borderline top 100 program in hopes that a specific job opened up the following season and that he would be assured that position. And the squeaky clean IU thing...yeah,OK.

So you are positing that CDD and staff are choosing to reject superior players because they want a challenge? Is it that they are too lazy to recruit into May? Or maybe you think they don't want the drama of the fans pushing for an 11th,or 12th man to get some minutes? Perhaps they want to keep expectations low, could that be it? Thinking about these, they seem pretty far fetched, so if you would, please, educate me on what reason you believe this staff is choosing to only give remaining scholarships to "practice" players when they have so many great options begging to make little money and sit at the end of the bench.

Kinda funny how some seem to think there are impact players just waiting to sign with IU to fill the 11th, 12th, and 13th roster spot and take what little NIL is left. It's willfully ignorant of the fact that guys aren't entering the portal to just wear the candy stripes and are actually looking to maximize exposure, PT, and $$$. I can guarantee the last three gets will be guys with potential but also with warts. I can also guarantee a certain amount of undeserved outrage about the last guy on the bench that will only see pt against the likes of Delaware St with 1:13 left in the game.

At some point, if not already, the lack of committed players will hit a critical mas and no top 50-100 portal guy will want to join a roster of 0. They will be left to pay well over market value for lesser player (see IU 2025-26 and then some).

Looks like he was listed as a SF as a prospect by 247, and what little tape( highlights) that are available he looks like a classic 3. He almost always takes possession of the ball on the perimeter (not sure I saw one post up), handles the ball like a guard and can rebound like a PF. Needs work on his outside shot and I would be surprised if we got him, but would be an absolute no brainer as a late pick up to play the 3 and give minutes at either the 2 or 4 if needed. That willingness to get after the rebound is almost unteachable.

I don't get your point. Are you saying he shouldn't be interested because he would be a deep off the bench guy? Are you saying IU should only be interested in spot up shooters to finish off the roster? He is a physically imposing 6'7" 225# wing that shot over 50% from the field. IU doesn't have a single guy that can play the 3 with any experience and the only listed SF, Karvala, is 45 lbs lighter. Hell, his per40min rebounding # is better than Yigi and Sherrell's. IU would be lucky to have that productive of a guy coming off the bench. Not sure how you don't see a need for a physical wing on a team that doesn't have one that plays in the B1G.

A freshman 6'7" 225lb guard that averaged 10 and 6 in 22 minutes being looked at to fill a back half of the bench role seems odd?
