Just checking in. Have a handful of the top portal players agreed to sign with IU for much less NIL because of the programs success 20+ years ago yet? If not can someone twitter them and tell them to come read this thread so that they can realize that IU is a blue blood program and much bigger deal than those programs that have been successful the last few decades and that BTB fans are not at all delusional, demanding, bipolar fans ?

#2 isn't necessary if you have #3. Would anyone be that sad to see Bryson Tucker leave? Would you want him around a second season if he is unhappy? I would like to see some NIL attached to retention. Like 60% paid in season and a lump 40% if you are the next season roster.

That should put to rest any of those posts about how Woodson should be revered for his playing days despite his failures as a HC. He is nothing more than a petty charlatan of a coach that schemed with Buckner to fleece his alma mater and doesn't give two sh*ts about the success of the program moving forward. I would put big money on a wager that his desire is for the next coach to fail miserably.

Well there are one or two that could.

The ballooning NIL seems unsustainable. Huge salaries of NBA players are repaid in owner revenues. A large portion of NIL comes from donors that receive nothing but some grovelling and good seats for the games. How long will the Gabe Cupps of the world command $1M? The shiny new toy syndrome will eventually wear off with any team if the donors pump in huge cash and end up with Mike Woodson type results for any length of time.

So how does that work? Do you just believe the rumors that fit your narrative and disregard the others?

DDV while answering a press question mentioned them respecting his WVU team in season.
