I humbly disagree. IU needs a guy that can build a clear team identity, whether that be methodical efficient offense and stingy defense or whoever scores last wins, but we are going to score last, hair on fire offense with low ranking defense, and can recruit effectively to that style. Getting 5 stars is great fun in June but a directionless group of talent sucks in January and February, 2024-25 Hoosiers are example 1A. IU and it's NIL will attract a high enough level of talent regardless of who is the coach, he just has to know what talent he needs.
