Not saying Brad is coming but what did people expect?

He has a job at the moment. Goodman apparently asks him if he's interested in the IU opening and he's supposed to say yes? He didn't say no. That response Goodman tweeted means nothing, IMO.

Again, not saying Brad is coming but people are overreacting. I don't know how we can go from all we need is his signature, guarantees are made, to this. Seems strange.

Yeah, someone who is considering accepting an offer, is that a candidate?  Or is it something else?  What the heck is a candidate?  Is he running for office?  

Goodman is such a disser of IU.  Just wants clicks...and Dr. P loves it.

I don't get why people would criticize Dolson for going after BS, which if he would be successful in securing , there would be calls to canonize him, in the time before he can not really accomplish anything with active coaches. 

And the notion that it somehow is a black mark on IU is laughable.  If the hire, May, Few, Cronin, etc in a month and a half, no one will give a sh*t about what Dolson did in Mid February.

Because it's too early. The timing with all of this is just weird. We can't realistically expect a coach to say yes this early when we still have a month left in our season. Even if someone agreed to it, good luck keeping that a secret for a whole month.

Why are people mad? Are we not here for the fun of this all?And to get mad at anyone like @Chris007 or @JerryYeagley23 or anyone else... Really? Is it that serious? Maybe they were right and things haven't happened that way yet. All they do is relay things they hear. Be happy because no other free board is getting any info like here. Jerry says he has his guy? Maybe it's May and not Stevens, is anyone really gonna be upset about that? People need to get a grip and remember why we are here.

I'll continue having my 25% faith that's Stevens. Because I know it'll be May or Beard or whoever.

I also know we could hire a broken office chair and it'll work more than what we've had the last 8 years.

Ok I lied. People are holding on to the single quote Goodman shared as if that's all that was discussed. I'm guessing, much like normal conversations, there was more discussed which is where the "not a candidate" probably came up.

I personally agree and have made a few posts to the same effect as your first sentence. 

I don't consider this a black mark on IU at all. Just a funny narrative about always chasing but never landing the same guy.

Hard to do when people in here are  turning their nose up at a candidate like McDermott who has been ranked by some publications as a top 15 coach in the game right now.  Coaching in the Big East a conference that has produced 4 national champions while he has been coaching in the Big East and competing at the top of the conference where he is working on his 6 straight year with a winning conference record of at least 5 games over .500.  IU fans are working on watching their program the last 9 years where they have seen only 1 year where their team finished above .500 and that was 12-8 3 games back from first.   You are right IU should set the bar higher then not Mike Woodson however maybe some fans should see that maybe that a coach like McDermott wouldn’t be as bad as they think.
