Yeah, he's trying to keep himself grounded. Whole pod wasn't that it was a done deal, just reasons why it could happen and why people are dummies for immediately dismissing it.

So to be clear, all of this is based on the notion that we have targeted him and he hasn’t said no. He then had some wishy washy answers at a press conference. Is there anything else of substance that makes people so loopy right now?

A couple of our insiders are pretty certain Brad is realistic and potentially already agreed. A deal has been offered is what I’m assuming. Throw in the planes last week and this week.

Are insiders right now still saying Brad Stevens “IS” the next IU coach? Now that it’s a new day and Brad happens to have the day off, I’m aching for some more reassurance, ha....not saying anything could happen today, but hope the sure fire comment that was bombed on us last night is still reality.

Just finished the pod - Yes, that was Tate (UNC fan). I agree with Titus that it's still unlikely, but having really good feelings about it. It was nice to have a national presence defend IU fans. I get so sick and tired of the national media piling on IU fans. Let's just see what happens at Duke when Coach K retires and they miss the tourney 5 years in a row. 

I see the Hoosier Hysterics pod with Jay Bilas is up. I hope they bury the guy for his stupid ESPN hot takes.

The piece in this thread I find interesting is that the same person that broke Sampson detail to 0708 is who is providing it this time. How many people from the AD have been around since Sampson? I guess more continuity in the BoT so possibility there. Hard to imagine the circle of trust would expand much further than that given the delicacy of ongoing discussions.
