It’s great no matter where it comes from but I read that as Dolson getting money from the people that tied us to Woodson too long and screwed us over and Buckner was the root issue. hopefully the money is there to get DeVries the roster he wants and we can see what he can do with it.

The days of ESPN and others controlling all communication with sources are over and have been for a while. like it, don’t like, it’s how we are all going to be getting our information so we might as well get used to it

I get what you are saying but how do you think anyone gets their info? Someone has to cover a story and do the work to get the info and share it. its 2026 and there is little to no difference between ESPN and a Twitter account and in fact info usually comes faster from the independents vs main stream news sources. honest question, what would be an acceptable way to get updates on recruits if nobody is allowed to reach out to them?

I think Branham will make or break DeVries tenure at IU. If he can be a Yogi, a Braden Smith, someone that can come in a lead and create consistency and make others better for 4 years we will be able to build on that. If he isn’t that guy, it could be a tough few years left for him

I saw a ton of posters saying how refreshing it was to have a coach with a plan, this was stated over and over before the season. I don’t know what that plan was tbh. For 4 years we did nothing but dump it into our bigs and we countered with the exact opposite and both are poor strategies. we need a ton of upgrades in talent and a balanced roster and better coaching. I never once thought to myself when we were blowing leads, “DeVries will call a timeout and get this ironed out”.

I didn’t boo players and haven’t criticized this team much at all and not in this thread. I just don’t think there is anything wrong with criticizing poor play, poor coaching and poor results. I agree about DDV. These young men are going to move on, DDV isn’t, at least not for a few years. He needs to figure this out because I question his ability to evaluate talent, build a team and create an advantage in-game for his team.

We don’t have a team of 18 year olds. You are desperately trying to portray them as kids just out there for the love of the name on the front of the jersey when they are men making men salaries. There is no other industry that pays men this much money for such average results

These are 22 year old men that are making more money than many pros. The criticisms here are totally fair.

This thread was very premature but let’s not kid ourselves, before this 3 game win streak this team looked lifeless. I understand the concern. that said, great 3 wins, let’s keep it going, get into the tourney and build on this season we should all be happy we didn’t hire Micah shrewsbury, that would have been a giant dumpster fire

Small sample size but where Enright was the one and only lead ball handler against Rutgers and Purdue, we looked way better than when they were out there together in games prior. 2 games we get big wins with Connorway seeing very little time

Why would you favor Connorway over enright when we saw what the team does when Connorway isn’t out there? They win

You think we will be 5th-7th in the bigten and make the tourney? Wow! I would be shocked and ecstatic if that were the case. I’m seeing 9th-12th and not even on the bubble

We don’t have a bigten, high level roster. This team would have to catch lightning in a bottle to beat a really good team. I was hoping for 20 wins and will now hope for 16. It’s going to be a long season for any of us that continue to watch this

This is a basketball forum and for most of us, basketball is what brought us all here. Our basketball program has been crappy since Dolson took over: it’s not ridiculous to expect more from this school when it comes to basketball and that starts at the top. He’s had two cracks at this and it’s not hard to see this team and system is incredibly flawed

I haven’t followed the Kraft/PSU example you provided, will have to read up on that. It’s pretty obvious to those around an AD when they have no idea what they are doing and that was the case for Dolson, vote of no confidence without an official vote. Crazy if others from the IU tree have essentially done the same elsewhere. Breeding ground for weak leadership. cig has been amazing but I’m a basketball fan through and through and I think what has happened to our basketball program is unbelievable. I’m not mad we’re 8-3 thus far in year 1, I’m disappointed in the system/product… I have no idea what this is? It’s horrible and hard to watch let alone fun. I don’t see a vision

I know what happened, I’ve shared the story from a BOT member many times here. His incompetence in the early days of the hiring process opened the door for others to take control after he fumbled the handoff a few times. Anyway, he was the AD when he was hired and was the AD when he was given a raise and the AD when he wasn’t winning and the fanbase had already quit on him and was unable to get rid of him. It’s a bag full of incompetence
