  1. Ok, so in the last couple of weeks we as a fanbase have witnessed: 1) a Natty in football, 2) beating little brother in AH, and, 3) a double OT road win with half the team fouled out. Hey:

  2. Also it may get lost in the OTs... but take a bow Reed Bailey. What a difference it makes when he plays like that.

  3. Best Win of the Season This team has roster deficiencies, but heart and guts are on full display. Special kudos to Bailey, who is drastically improving during the B1G season; no small task. Special kudos to Tucker, who now contributes to winning when he doesn’t score. And? A Star Is Dorn!

  4. massive road win for IU Brad is a good bracketologist. For him they were 10th out and with these 2 wins they are his top 10 seed. When you play in the B1G a good week can flip the narrative. Still got to stack wins

  5. I just wish the one girl you could repeatedly hear during the broadcast would have moved very far away from the mic.

  6. We have this thread because a small subset of our fans cannot handle any level of adversity without losing their minds. And that type of person loves to complain on the internet. This thread was posted halfway through our new coach's first season, at which point the team was 12-6, 3-4 in conference. I am not a mod but I think the existence of this thread is kind of embarrassing to our fanbase.

  7. I doubt he did it on purpose, but missing that 2nd free throw was smart.

  8. Man went through the range of emotions with that one lol.

  9. Tucker Devries is 6’7” with below average length and bounce. The last three games his rebounding totals have been: Rutger—10 Puredoo—10 UCLA—10 That’s some serious effort and grit.

  10. We said let's steal one. We STOLE this one by the skin of our teeth. RUN to the bus and don't look back. Now beat USC

  13. Dorn is special. And only getting better. Enrights last 3 games now have been impressive. Having 3 shooters is helping him a lot. Much better balance offensively, let’s him do what he is best at. and West Coast split is all we needed if we can hold home court. USC is a different beast. I don’t think they are as good as UCLA. Baker Maz is really, really good. They have speed and athletes. Venue won’t be too intimidating. Making the tournament was what we needed imo. Things are looking better. Let’s keep rolling.

  17. Enright has been awesome too. Such a gritty player. Occasionally knocks down the 3 point shot and arguably our best defender

  21. The most amazing thing of all was that after we fired Woodson last year, there was a good faction of folks on here who wanted to hire this troll. Thankfully, we dodged that bullet.

  22. Saying we had "a coach who didn't seem to care" is the laughable part of that post. And if we didn't blow a 16 point lead against Nebraska, we'd be sitting pretty already. Fact is it's a flawed team that's now competing. Hopefully they keep it up.

  23. Baker-Mazara is really good. He’s also one of the most emotionally immature players I’ve seen. Let Enright pester him for a few minutes and there is a good chance he can throw him off his game for the night.

  24. This thread was very premature but let’s not kid ourselves, before this 3 game win streak this team looked lifeless. I understand the concern. that said, great 3 wins, let’s keep it going, get into the tourney and build on this season we should all be happy we didn’t hire Micah shrewsbury, that would have been a giant dumpster fire

  25. Hmmm after a couple of games ( the only ones I watched because I was too dug in in football) I’m wondering why we have this thread. I’m picturing what this team would be with better incoming recruits and I see the potential there. The only thing I would critique is that the Coach needs to purposefully call more plays in the paint to at least keep defenders honest. The kids at least hustle and played better defense than any of our teams the past 15 years. Guys and ladies what am I missing?

  26. We have an extremely flawed roster. Missing some important roles. And we lack a real alpha. We have a lot of guys who are feast or famine. Sometimes for 5 minute stretches. Key is to find a way to win. And build a better roster next year. Archie or Woody would like be 4-7 if not worse in conference with this roster. And would have dropped a WTF game in the OoC. We would like be 12-10 and solidly out of the tourney. Team is frustrating. Coach has me pulling my hair out but progress has occurred

  27. Impressed with how the team composed themselves after blowing the lead in regulation. Really big win!

  28. Good win. Playing vs a Cronin team is always ugly. Add in the terrible reffing, and our inability to handle the press on inbounds plays and it was a gutsy win. Quad 1 win on the road plays well for tournament resume. Go beat USC on Tuesday.

  33. Right, but nothing wrong with trying to get back to the "good old days." I listened to Goodman tell a story when he first met Coach Cig. Goodman was telling him that if he started the season 3-2 after the first five game he would be a hero at IU. He said Cig gave him the devil's eye and said no freaking way am I going 3-2. That's what we want -- guys who refuse to lose.

    How Is Darian Devries Doing?

To be fair, I’d rather a single thread exist than it permeate every other thread. And at least it’s not in person!

  38. Definitely encouraging. Was never as bad as some made it out to be but they were going to have to win some of these games. Season can be a long a winding road with ups and downs. Downs are more highlighted. With IU playing in the B1G and with the metrics they had going into conference play flipping the script quick with a good week was always in the cards. Keep stacking wins and win the games you are suppose to win and they should be in good shape however just as easy as having a good week can help having a losing week and losing one you shouldn’t could put them back on the cut line

  39. I was critical early because we did not seem to have toughness and grit, let alone enough talent to win much. Team has that toughness now. Wasn’t excited about how we executed down the stretch in regulation but they beat Purdue, smashed Rutgers on the road and beat a good UCLA team even though we had kids fouling out left and right. Not sure if it will last all season but we have the toughness now to overcome some of our shortcomings and that can be the fuel to make this a good season and show hope for what can be.

  42. Tonight wasnt pretty. But we got a road win against a decent team. Good three game stretch. Hard to deny that this team hasn't improved.
