Wanted to follow up on my previous bit about Trey, where he was planning on opening up his playing options at the end of the year. Suffice to say I was taken back by his announcement to return. Yesterday, I saw the person who gave me this info. Again, I will say that this person is legit and I know them well - zero reason to make up BS and has very close ties. They said that they were also shocked by the announcement, it was completely opposite of what he had been saying to his small circle most of the season. We both believe that at some point in the past week he was offered a substantial (like 2x) NIL package to stay at IU. As we know, IU's NIL for next year was substantially increased over the past 2 weeks. My person should get more official word from the family on what exactly went down and I will pass that along when I get it. Well it was clearly Ben Franklin was our best recruiter. Just an FYI -- there was no such statement. It was information that apparently was leaked from someone within the athletic department to the media. There has never been such a statement and TBH, I wouldn't necessarily expect one. Well, except for Woody's defiant declaration on Senior Day. It was from Scott. Zach is connected. The information came from the IU beat writer from the largest paper (or whatever you call it these days) in the state. Surely he wouldn't run with it unless he had 100% credible intel. Since I had to look it up I thought I would post it for all that is not up to date on the word "COPIUM" What does copium mean in slang? "Copium" is a term that originated on Twitch and is a combination of the words "cope" and "opium." It is often used to describe the act of denying reality or a difficult truth by clinging to a false or overly optimistic belief as if it were a drug. JF87 and Chris007 1 1

Yes I was told that Woodson met with Trey and Leal on Saturday to give them their deal. This week he has met with Malik, and might hear him announce soon that he'll be back. It doesn't bother me personally, but I can't imagine some folks are too pleased with how Woody speaks in press conferences and especially when he's in front of fans, and I'm not talking about the arrogance. Like, saying "Indiana Basketball is the s**t" is hilarious, but in front of a crowd at a family event? Certainly a choice. Stuhoo, thebigweave, Hoosier987 and 2 others 4 1
