I don't see anyway they fire him.  There's been a major narrative shift on Twitter.  Everyone coming over to say how great Woody is.  They hate IU because of Knight and are terrified we'd finally make a good hire.

Guys Chris is a great poster and brings info he hears. He isn't your personal gossip vending machine. If he has something good to share he will. Further, when you ask his opinion on something that's what you'll get, his opinion. Now it's a more informed opinion than the majority of us but still his opinion. He's not Linda Tripp out there getting Dolson drunk and secretly recording him or anything. You aren't are you@Chris007? Anyhow, I just say this as I can only imagine how he must feel sometimes with the 1,000 questions. What I do know is that he has never, in my time, deprived this board of info he hears. anyone thinking IU moves on from Woodson this offseason has WAY too much faith in the IU administration. Losing out was the only way he was getting fired.

I have faith in Dolson and President Whitten and if they can get Buckner out of the way I have confidence. To me it was encouraging that at first Coach Cig turned them down but they were willing to go higher on the total compensation.

I think one thing that does concern me is today was the first time it has looked like Woody specifically adjusted the scheme. Almost like he was told to or else. He went a long stretch with only one center and MM at the 4. We played so much better and he subbed MR back in, offense stalled with two centers and he took him back out with like 3 to go and we iced it. Maybe it was just a fluke rotation, but he looked like he was deliberately not running KW and MR at the same time. With the lane unclogged it opened the offense up. Shouldn’t have taken 28 games to figure out.

IMO Woody leaving with his head held high is part of a best-case scenario. Rattling off a few wins against weaker opponents does NOT buy him more time, but it does allow him to leave on a high-note.

Im not impressed by beating the second worst team in a bad conference. That’s not enough to save your job. Woodson has failed to show any progress as a coach in 3 years. 
 

I have zero confidence he’ll be able to land great portal kids.
