JPCIVOP Posted February 20, 2025 Posted February 20, 2025 If we do start talking more seriously about Scott Drew, can we recap what happened with the Jurkin/Perea recruitments from more than a decade ago? I thought I remembered someone on the staff being unhappy with Perea and/or Jurkin tending toward IU, and at least implying that Perea might be deported for choosing the wrong school. I can't find the details. Can someone help me with that? I remember being rubbed the wrong way about how that recruitment was handled on Baylor's part. Chris007 and AkronHoosier 2

They have blocked off times in their schedule for practice. They do have a class schedule..... I'm pretty certain I heard some ex players talking about this on a Hysterics podcast....they didn't speak ill of coach, but if I'm remembering correctly, they talked as if it was his way of keeping them on their toes and out of trouble....as if they always had to be ready for practice or something like that...

Personally, I am not a fan of Scott Drew which mostly because of the Perea incident 10 years ago. His threatening to deport the guy if he didn't go to Baylor really rubbed me the wrong way. I know that he is big on the religious part in the program which is fine, but the whole threatening deportation was really low. SlammySammy, Banksyrules, NVFalcons1990 and 1 other 4

I also am not a fan of Dan's. I just ignore him. He is like a lot of people in this world with less empathy and more interested in saying everything even if it hurts others. He is always right. Whether he is right or wrong. But he is shrill about it. And he hovered over his players like a leach. Whoops. Should not have said that. raorIU, PartyintheVillas, Home Jersey and 5 others 8
