Sherrell isn't a must get per se, but locking him down before he leaves campus would quiet a lot of doubts about DDV.

The only one I currently see as a strong possibility, maybe even a strong likelihood, is Burton. Certainly in the priority mix with others. And Burton is a good start. By the way… if we start closing on competitive recruitments, that’s a very good sign that the staff is able to sell a vision of development to players and their representatives. There’s big money in many places, and competitive recruitments require an effective sale of a vision and development, not solely a money offer.

Maybe we need a visit from she who shall not be named? Would liven things up a bit, no?

You don’t mess around a low ball your top priority at the biggest position of need. If they have a number they are willing to go then go there. Close the deal. Don’t fall on your face at the finish line and allow someone to slide in there. Houston was rumored to offer 3.25 and he turned it down because we rumored to offer more. We don’t then rescind that offer and go lower bc the competition couldn’t match. Thats a great way to sour the relationship and burn the deal all together.

If the best case scenario plays out and they end up with Burton, Harris, Mustaf and Moody the obvious need is another pure PG without huge expectations for this year.

Agree with Davis 100%. The hyperbole here is gonna be nuts. If anything they’ve downgraded at PG even if Brown didn’t shoot it great last year and Flory is a great defensive anchor but if he’s your best player I’m not sure you’re actually winning anything.

Not sure if the real music nerds here have seen this yet. I’ve scrolled through it a bit, mostly stuff that isn’t my speed, but it’s got @Demo and @Stuhoo written all over it. Don’t let the tweet fool you, it goes wayyyy more off the beaten path than Nirvana and Phish shows.

IU needs a couple more from portal. However, you could easily role with the three returning starters and two top-30 freshman and be much better than last yr. If you want to hold on to these top freshman for more than a yr you have to play them big minutes like it or not. Michigan did exactly this with its freshman class a couple of years ago and is now rolling. Ideally you add some more, but roster is nowhere near as bear as this time last yr.
