The “compromise” by Dolson to let this go down this way saved us some good cash on the buyout. Lot of litigation today. Make no mistake about it, this was not Woody’s decision to retire.

I think a lot of that could be they have no confidence to shoot and aren't ready to shoot on the catch.

I am sorry to rant, but the more I think about it the more it pisses me off. I can’t believe that Woody is trying to rewrite history and act like he takes all the blame and always has. If I wanted someone to blow smoke up my a$$, I would sit at home with a box of cigars and a short length of hose. I don’t need a guy with a cigar and a glass of wine to do it for me.

We are now dead last on Torvik looking up at 3-13 Michigan. One guy in the recruiting class. Team generally looked like it wanted to be anywhere but on the court. Body language was just sad while sub .500 PSU looked to be having fun even with nothing to play for. I really dont see any logical argument to keeping Woody unless we really cant afford it which I do not believe.

It must be one great big hump.  It’s kinda like the IU offense, it plays uphill

I agree.  Our primary focus is to get the ball inside.  Shooting the three is an afterthought.  It's difficult to get rhythm or confidence when the three is an afterthought.  We did run some action to get looks from three today and we missed those as well.

Even a week ago I thought maybe, just maybe Woodson could field a good team next year. I just don't have any faith that can happen anymore. Will be stunning if Liam doesn't go elsewhere. Malik to the portal. Anything could happen. 

Going to be real interesting one day to hear all the behind the scenes stuff. I think the day was October 15th. Liam commits to IU. Had a legit chance with Boogie and Queen. Felt like this team had a lot of potential. How to lose all momentum in 4 months. 

That happens when your "coach" runs you off a cliff.

Exactly right... he hasn't owned anything all season until the post game presser after the Northwest loss... very little after that, but absolutely nothing prior to that... he's flat out lying to try to save his @$$... and hopefully, no one is buying it.

Don’t care who the next coach is but instead of talking about winning titles and B1G titles how about start out with something simple like having a winning conference record in back to back years which hasn’t happened since Creans 4th and 5th year for this program.

There was a play in the first half that just had me shaking my head. We moved the ball fairly crisply around the perimeter only for Cupps to feed Walker for a missed elbow jumper. It was just a microcosm of this system.

At this point I would say Mike Woodson is probably on College basketball reporters top 10 hot seat candidates. If he returns as Coach I would say he’ll enter as one of the coaches on the hottest seat… IF you retain him and he gets off to a slow start you might risk an empty stadium and a mid season firing. I don’t think it’s worth it.
