Arkansas booster via text “We’re not letting him leave”

Its ultimately up to Musselman, not the booster.  I get what you are saying, but what if Muss just wants to come here?

I'm not on the Moser bandwagon. I'm a Muss Bus guy. But yeah, it's lazy. It gives 0 context. The dude took over a 4-24 team in a 1 bid conference. The NCAA Tournament wasn't even in the realm of possibility. He failed at Illinois State, and he'd tell you that himself. Then he took over Loyola and has totally turned them around from a middling .500 ball club year in and year out. You want to knock his coaching style or resume, there is ammo there for you. He plays way too slow for my taste, especially coming off Archie. But the "2 career tourneys" stat is just a junk argument.

Sorry you don't like facts. That is the only stat that matters.  I don't like that he doesn't score enough points to beat his opponent to get more teams in the tourney than 2 out of 17, better?  He is not the guy so quit trying to sound smart when my Stat is the only thing that matters.

I would tread lightly if I was you.   You won’t last long here with that posting style

I would if I was you, too. I'm allowed to back myself up when he comes at me. Snowflake

Whoever the next coach is needs to get their kids to play as hard on D as Houston and Baylor.   Defensive intensity from those teams is impressive

Agreed. I've really enjoyed the defense in all but the Ark/Oral Roberts- but that was great for diff reasons

same w/ Nate Oats and Alabama

No coach is leaving a good situation for a job that right now is a lateral move. Those schools have money too. I'm starting to feel Mike Lewis once UCLA loses. That way Dolson can say we were waiting on him all along. I believe the reports of Matta and Holtman have some truth which means there's no grand plan and Dolson is having associates cold call coaches hoping someone says yes. I have always been ok with Fife, but am starting to warm up to Lewis big time given his expertise of running a good offense.

I think a Lewis and Fife combination would be great...Offense specialist either defensive specialist as an assistant.

IU immediately fired Archie and has been waiting until the tourney is over to announce Michael Lewis is the next coach?

This is the complete opposite of the "Brad Stevens is coming!'" theory.  Both are delusional, but on the opposite ends of the spectrum. Brad is reaching for the stars, the other is being resigned to sleep in your own vomit.

Unless you believe the Archie found out he was out early and was telling the players. So Dolson fired him earlier than he wanted.

I´m likely in the minority here, and that´s okay with me...I think the longer this plays out...the bigger the surprise waiting on the end of the line...Dolson isn´t going to make a $10M buyout turn into someone small unless he´s played all of his hands. You don´t pony up that kind of cash without a plan in place...I guess I´m going to think it might be Brad until someone else is announced.  I have been on this train for 2 weeks tomorrow...kind of lonely but not totally!
