He turned the ball over almost 2 times a game. Yes he scored 10 points and pulled down almost 7 boards but he played on a team that won 9 games. His Dad is a big mouth which can be detrimental to programs. His time is ticking away to show he is NBA ready and he knows that. Hunter has already been a role player. Hunter was worth 6 points and 3 rebounds with better 3 point percentage in 6 less minutes a game. Galloway is just getting started and had an injury hamper his freshman year and when you look at his stats, they are not much different from Brooks in his freshman year. I just am not seeing Brooks as being all that big of an add. We need guys who can space the floor and he is not that guy. This is not a huge upgrade so why push a guy out for someone whose career has been underwhelming to date? “His Dad is a big mouth which can be detrimental to programs. His time is ticking away to show he is NBA ready and he knows that.” I see this repeatedly asserted with NO basis. He is an excellent student and would be going into his third year of college. What the hell is this narrative based on, other than people who are pissed he didn’t go to IU who are projecting? MoyeNeeded, moyemayhem, Hippopotamo and 6 others 9 Quote

Was he ready for the NBA not at all but kid was a talented player. His shooting means he probably wouldn’t fit Woodsons system but kid would be a stud in a lot of systems. Either a current Hoosier "chooses" to continue his playing career elsewhere or Brooks wont be a Hoosier. It would work itself out...without everyone pilling on either potential new recruits (he didn’t want us enough before, so F’em!!) or taking apart existing players (can’t shoot, marginal B1G level talent), etc. Let’s not knit pick analysis and get super negative on either side. The college ball player market is as fluid as it gets...and that’s likely staying. Don’t fight the flow...buy a raft, enjoy the river ride...and let’s Win Baby!! Stuhoo 1 Quote

He thought UK was that option. Can’t blame him really. Maybe a bit of a helicopter, but heck, most are. I think a lot of it stems from his time at North Side but I don’t think anyone knows the full story. La Lu loved him. Kentucky seems to like him. I like him. Not sure we have space anymore. HoosierAloha Posted April 24, 2021 Posted April 24, 2021 Mod: let’s get back on topicOther mod: off topic!Haha good ****!!On topic: transfers, lots and lots of transfers. We should legitimately not have any fall off year to year because we can address any roster issues with viable transfers after each season. akumanina Posted April 24, 2021 Posted April 24, 2021 If Brooks wants to learn from CMW and also to be part of his IU revival project, I'd welcome him wholeheartedly. Why not? He's a definite upgrade to our roster. I saw his sophomore highlights, and honestly we don't have enough players of his caliber in terms of raw talent and athleticism. Some of us are talking about his 3 point shooting, but our returning players didn't shoot well beyond the arc anyway. If they shot well, we would've still had Archie.
