Yeah, the hysterics didn’t go into the details on Dieblers side besides comparing it to Costanza on Seinfeld. Sounds like he interviewed but wasn’t offered the OSU gig or was mislead to which he “quit” Indiana, then realized he didn’t have the job. Therefore Woody took him back or whatever. Lol. Makes me curious if something like this happened with Adam Howard. Based on following Twitter comments. Either Way glad we have/kept Howard I think he’s really good in his role and his connections.

Yeah, more layers to this story. What was his and Woody’s conversation like? The way I see it, I hope the way it unfolded, is Walsh saw questions with Woody’s future and was trying to get ahead of it. It doesn’t sound like it was for an upgraded position but a lateral position. However, he is from Ohio so I’m sure that was a big factor in all this. Definitely would seem like a precarious relationship going forward. But who knows.

Welp. Hysterics share a story that Brian wanted Ohio State assistant job with Diebler. Quit the Indiana job then apparently didn’t get the OSU job. Walsh is the Primary Mullins recruiter, maybe Sisley too. Clearly, if true and it’s being said this is multi sourced and likely true, this will lead to a frosty bench to some extent and maybe an awkward future. I would rather the Hysterics not share this stuff from a recruitng perpspective. Can’t help things.

Coach Curt Cignetti to INDIANA
WayneFleekHoosier replied to mamasa's topic in Indiana Hoosiers Football
He cooked. He always does. Now if he can generally win there are going to be some fun Falls. -
I know conversations come up time to time about this. From Money Magazine this month. Indiana #19 business school Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app

I don’t even necessarily want him fired. I just think the fans and others being pissed about last year and Woodson taking the blame was what needed to happen. Woodson and staff should have understood they dropped the ball. They behind the scenes, seem to realize this but they outwardly blamed the fans for their ineptitudes on the season. Roster construction is the most glaring concern but as you say, other questions on the court will need answered. I’m thankful he cares and wants to win. I’m thankful our Nil and his backers ponied up to create what should be a solid roster. Now Is his chance to prove all the doubters wrong. Of which, there are many. (C) Kel 'el Ware - COMMITTED TO INDIANA
WayneFleekHoosier replied to Chris007's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
Where was that over the last 3 years like Stuhoo kept predicting? I don’t wish injury on folks, but man Indiana would have benefitted by Edy not being available 100% of the time of Purdue for his career. Sent from my iPad using BtownBanners mobile app -
Fielding a team that can’t shoot 3’s worth a lick in the modern basketball era is/was a fireable offense. Absolutely zero reason not to see this coming. I did. You can’t continually ignore this all goes back to Woodson choosing to rock with this roster. Train the roster. Scheme this roster. And even still basketball analytics might have something to say about still shooting more 3’s if YOUR biggest frontcourt in the conference could dominate the boards like they were recruited to do. IU Basketball News and Notes
WayneFleekHoosier replied to Stuhoo's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
basically means the walk-on type players will be on scholarship. Maybe take a few more project players with attributes but yeah, 13 is already too many. -
You can’t in reality and seriousness blame the season on our inept backcourt that Woody and Staff chose to go to war with. I’ve seen your crew defend this by saying “woody was showing faith/AND/nobody would commit to IU with X and Gallo in the backcourt” NONE of this jives with reality. Woody needed to just suck up his pride and admit he didn’t put a good enough team together from jump. No one else to blame. **** happens. But Woody and staff completely fumbled the off-season and roster construction and if he had fallen on the sword people might have more respect for him.

(2025) - G Meleek Thomas
WayneFleekHoosier replied to Class of '66 Old Fart's topic in Indiana Basketball Recruiting Forum
I love Thomas scoring ability. Maybe 2nd best guard in the class. I think if we didn’t go 100% Mullins we had a chance here but it seems a decision was made. -
Cupps long term might be ok but I watched 10 games of his from HS and told the board he wasn’t ready to meaningfully contribute as a Freshman. And people kept coming at me with Braden Smith comparisons. My point was/is Cupps shouldn’t have even played last season and him getting 20 minutes means he was over evaluated too. Staff messed up everywhich way from Sunday. Gunn kept shooting jumpers where he would never square up prior to shooting. That never got corrected. We let Bates walk, who wasn’t great but FAR better than Gunn. We were supposedly going after Reeves which would have been huge but to not get him and rely on Cupps, X, Gunn was a failure from jump. It’s whatever, but all the Woody Crodies saying we couldn’t get good guards because of X and Gallo just aren’t serious people. Sent from my iPad using BtownBanners mobile app

Woody didn’t shoot enough 3s or crash the offensive glass. Maybe we should have done more of both. We were one of the biggest teams in the country 3-5. We were also one of the softest teams. Missed 3s are offensively rebounded at a much higher rate than the crap we were trying to do. Just an overall frustrating team that did a lot wrong. Woody hamstrung himself with talent evaluation and recruiting. But I still wonder what it could have looked like a different, more free philosophy from a hungry team that crashed the glass. CJ Gunn, Cupps, Xavier Johnson all missed evaluations by our staff to contribute what we needed from them. Crazy to miss that much. 2 of the guys are in the gym with them every day. Stunning. I don’t think Duke or UNC have great coaches. Maybe no better than Woodson even, but their administrations are serious and both schools have made sure to have top 1-10 talented rosters every season so it’s hard for their coach to screw it up. Indiana finally has attempted that this season far more the than most seasons. My biggest gripe with Woodson/staff so far is talent evaluation. Last years roster never had close enough to enough guard talent. I knew that from my couch before the season. Then we suffered a miserable season full of excuses with a lackluster roster 2 pieces short. Frustrating. Thus I’ve lost faith in this staff knowing what it takes to be a top 10 team because they all referenced last years team maybe be better than the TJD team in the preseason. Missed the mark. Now we just hope they’ve learned some things. Sent from my iPad using BtownBanners mobile app

Listened to Assembly Call today. Not hard to pickup what they are putting down. I think that is how a lot of diehard fans are feeling right now. Woody and Staff has extra motivation to win this year to shove it down the throats of all disgruntled fans last year. SMH. I guess, whatever motivates them. I wish he would have just taken accountability last season and moved on. I’d have a lot more respect for that. Sent from my iPad using BtownBanners

I think starting lineup is either/or 1 Rice 2. Carlyle/Gallo 3. Mgbako 4. Reneau 5. Ballo I’d say 90% chance It’s Carlyle. I think bench minutes will be Gallo, Goode/Tucker, Newton/Cupps one of these guys will steal the others minutes. Leal/Hatton Sent from my iPad using BtownBanners mobile app -

I think we were 1 neutral or road game away from the schedule being decent depending on how scheduling and games play out in Atlantis. Maybe a better home game. But, yes this is a coordinated effort to stack W’s. Woody came out guns blazing and willing to face anyone and it’s been consistently terrible. I’m sure his circle has realized this and reset expected results. It’s makes a lot of sense but it’s also a little sad. It’s not enough for me to be that upset but it will be a storyline by the National media if we take care of business because Woody isn’t their friend.
-
If we make the final of the Bahamas tournament it will be decent/average for a Blueblood. If we don’t and depending on who we face it could be bad/awful. South Carolina IS not going to be who they were last year.

You aren’t even an Indiana fan Shrek! You expect me to find Paid receipts to a social media operation? You didn’t respond to the Amplifier being used by Tyme that was mentioned yesterday. Call conspiracy BS all you want. I’m wise enough to put 2 and 2 together and iubb Twitter changed when Woodson lost the crowd. Defending/attacking with coordinated messaging. They surged for the transfer portal and have been pushing since. arguing with you is fruitless because you are just a defender and aren’t really looking for truth.
-
Because besides Tyme, they aren’t Burners. They aren’t “tied” to some account. It’s a paid OP to try change the image of Mike Woodson by someone who wants to defend Mike Woodson. You can do the semantic trick all you want to defy the truth. It is gross. I don’t even dislike Mike Woodson or necessarily what he is trying to do but the social media presence is beyond annoying. Conflating QAnon into anything IU basketball related is a strange move.
