This was probably my biggest surprise. He reminds me of a much “basketball” smarter CJ Gunn. Feel we will roll 10 deep early and give the fresh some time to carve a niche. I’d imagine that 10 becomes an 8 with a possible slight 9 come big ten play.

I think we as a fanbase and the coaches learned last season how efficient Alexis is around the basket. All 3 front court guys need to play a lot of minutes. I feel good with all of them. DDV will likely ride the hot hand and more efficient players within the game. Having all that size and still having Manhertz, Sisley, and Mustaf who can all play the 3-4 should be such a luxury.

The curious thing is our 2 recruits plus Sokolov. Are we rolling with that in our front court? Hoping Yigi or Sherrill will stay then you have a much better front court with some experience.

Tried my best to watch. Missed a lot. First half we were really nonchalant on defense. And kinda nonchalant on O too. I missed much of the run in the second half. Seems like a good use of a scrimmage. Got to see a lot of guys in action and get some film going. I didn’t get to watch Sherrill much. I know he’ll be good. Lots of pieces. Does it seem Manhertz is gonna get more time than Moody? I woulda expected the opposite up until the Rothstein tweet.

Defense concerns are legit this year. Solid group, but lack the playmakers we’ve had from a year ago.

Cool for Oduru. His minutes are cut back this season despite being what I’ve seen as a top 3 player his career. Him being a super sub is a big reason this years team is so dangerous. the other senior storyline is Breckin Minzey. I believe he played about every minute last season. This season we start and play heavily 4 backs. Minzey gets very limited time.
