I think Mike Lewis and Sherron Wilkerson would bring a lot to the team. Mike has a job though. I'm not sure Calbert wants the grind of being a bench coach. I may be mistaken. Hulls may feel the same.

I have nothing against Lewis, Wilkerson, Hulls, Chaney but I'd prefer the bench not be loaded with IU guys.  Let's bring in some fresh blood and ideas.

Agree with this. Get the best staff possible. If that means any of those guys, great.

Exactly. And keeping someone associated with the program can have special value because of booster, administration, community, and high school/statewide connections.

Ultimately, it is part of CDD’s challenge to use outstanding judgment in assembling a staff that covers all aspects.

I'm assuming DeVries will bring in his culture. He will evaluate current coaches and staff to see if they fit with his culture.

DDV is bringing in his guys and dudes who can recruit. It’s going to be a brand new day and a lot different look come November. 

No more screwing around. If the coaches I am hearing come in, will get interesting.

My older brothers have different favorite players from that era.  Calbert Cheaney, Damon Bailey, and Jay Edwards.  My brother said he’s never seen anyone shoot it the way Jay did. He was at Assembly Hall for his game winner against UM from the top of the key and was at the ‘Watford’ UK game and says the Watford game winner doesn’t even compare to the Edwards game winner.  He thought ‘The Hall’ was going to come down that day.

I’m really excited for the DDV era.  I think next year is going to be a blast and we have a chance to be really freaking good with Tucker.

Yes the Jay Edwards era was amazing. I was at the game also. I remember it being so loud a few times I thought the balcony was going to fall. We’re going to get back to that I hope.
