Is Ferguson still involved? Yes everything would be fine with Tracy if everyone stays out of the way and just let Scott handle it. I wasn't calling her Kathy, I was talking about our resident insider who works in the "athletic department". He is still involved, sits right behind the bench each game, hopefully not involved in the search though. He does donate to the NIL 8bucks, Napleshoosier and FWHoosier84 3
Kentuckysucks Posted January 16 Posted January 16 38 minutes ago, ap2345 said: Basically Dolson had IU in a good spot. Brad wanted to take the job. Buckner and company had a group of donors meeting with Brad too and it was too many cooks in the kitchen. One of that group it might’ve been Buckner or Ferguson pissed off Brad’s wife so she was then out. They had a family vote and it was 3-1 to stay in Boston so they stayed. Brad has had conversations off and on with people he knows both with the Celtics and in Indiana about how he has always wanted to coach at IU or that it’s always been his dream job. He still has family in Indiana and may want to be closer to them as they are getting older. He has talked openly many times about his love for IU and that type of admiration never changes even if you call yourself a masshole. Scott and Brad also have regular communication and have ever since he turned IU done the last time. Couple all of that with the random Seth Davis and Micah Shrewsberry comments and all of a sudden there seems to be a lot of things that start to add up. Especially when some of these people don’t have any connection to IU. There’s probably more stuff that I’ve shared but that’s the gist of it Probably by intent. Buckner and Ferguson didn’t want Brad taking the job. FWHoosier84 1

Not sure IU would go his route however Drew and Goodman are good friends and Goodman put out a tweet when IU was getting boat raced the other night that Dolson should make the call. I’m guessing Drew’s people are getting that out there as soon as possible to plant the seed https://x.com/goodmanhoops/status/1879328962981269978?s=46 That would be interesting. I'd be surprised if he ever left Baylor. It's a perfect fit for him as a private Baptist university. Not sure IU would be a good cultural fit. cybergates 1

If it starts to pick up steam I'll be very interested. But no way am I just going to buy in, and Rabby really doesn't know jack about him FWIW, no idea about Trilly but not a believer in him. WeeDerkaNaut Posted January 16 Posted January 16 I'm not dead set on one guy, I'm dead set on someone who knows what it takes to win and with that we have options. Hornsby Posted January 16 Posted January 16 Yikes for Woodson. That's one consolation all parties can take solace in. The Woodson era is crumbling before our eyes as a spectacularly awful experiment gone wrong after an offseason filled with optimism from a talented portal class, but this team is going nowhere fast. It won't be long before the season, and Woodson's split with his alma mater, will be complete. After Tuesday's debacle, that inevitability is all but a certainty.
