WayneFleekHoosier Posted December 2, 2023 Posted December 2, 2023 IU had 3 TOs in the first half... finished with 16... and horrible FT shooting again - 10-18... no excuse for that...won the boards by 16 and the offensive boards by 5... not bad for the B1G opener... now, let's go get another at Michigan. Our bigs can shoot FTs. Galloway and especially Sparks kill us on free throws. Sent from my iPad using BtownBanners mobile app taco corp 1 Quote
tkbbn Posted December 2, 2023 Posted December 2, 2023 Big W tonight and lots of bright spots. Gunn was terrible on offense, terrible decisions and can't shoot but does. Northwestern can beat purdoodoo then it will be a great evening. WayneFleekHoosier, Home Jersey and Whoozhers 3 Quote
rcbowla Posted December 2, 2023 Posted December 2, 2023 Ware was not afraid to get inside and bang with Reese tonight. So glad we got him because it'd be rough without him.Sent from my SM-G996U using Tapatalk WayneFleekHoosier, southsidehoosier and Home Jersey 3 Quote
WayneFleekHoosier Posted December 2, 2023 Posted December 2, 2023 Excellent games by Ware and Galloway. Good game to Cupps and Reneau. Mgbako was...ok. I'm Dunn with Gunn Absolutely brutal game from GeronimoGunn makes every offensive play more difficult than it needs to be. Jumper off screen? Rise straight up? Nah, spin or fade or twist or kick a leg instead. Open lane? Lay it in. Two hand dunk? Nah, let’s try to throw down the hammer of the gods. His defense can be really good. His length and active hands are great. If he just played within the system he might have a chance. Sent from my iPad using BtownBanners mobile app Home Jersey, DChoosier, tkbbn and 3 others 6 Quote

Tonight sold me on the idea of Leal taking some (not all) of his minutes. And if he can earn all of Gunn's... that's a good thing for the team at the end of the day. All of them. Leal will get beat some off the dribble but he makes the right play. He makes winning plays. tkbbn, Whoozhers and Ngw7183 2 1 Quote

TheWatShot Posted December 2, 2023 Posted December 2, 2023 I was THIS close to making a post in the second half about how thrilling it would be to see us move up a whole 3 spots in Kenpom. Sigh... Kenpom must really not like how we've essentially taken the 3 point line out of the game. Quote

Popular Post Hovadipo Posted December 2, 2023 Popular Post Posted December 2, 2023 If you’re starting Jordan Geronimo you’re more than likely not a very good basketball team. Certainly looked that way tonight. IU - Kaulie, coonhounds, sweetpain and 10 others 13 Quote
WayneFleekHoosier Posted December 2, 2023 Posted December 2, 2023 Willard hates Woodson so this was extra sweet. We recruited Jamie Kaiser hard. He might be good someday but man. Rough game.We wanted DHS. The scouts loved DHS. I really liked DHS. He was rough too. Geronimo has been talked about a lot. Good kid. Just doesn’t have the skillset to play the position he needs to play. Sent from my iPad using BtownBanners Ngw7183, Home Jersey and Alford Bailey 3 Quote

IUFAN1976 Posted December 2, 2023 Posted December 2, 2023 Maryland is a lot worse than I thought they would be, especially since they have some key players back from last year. Also, that is a team that is god awful worse than us from behind the 3 point line Quote
RaceToTheTop Posted December 2, 2023 Posted December 2, 2023 2 hours ago, JSHoosier said: Well, it's a win. Shouldn't have ended up even that close. Too many turnovers. Any conference game that shouldn't end up that close and we win by 12 is certainly a positive. Maryland not playing well right now but the trio of Young, Reese, and Scott are talented. Maryland is really good at home and will accumulate enough wins to make the win look decent on our resume. IU moved to 69 on Pom after the game; we were 80 prior to Harvard and 75 after Harvard. Maryland dropped from #58 to 70. Quote
