I just got here when HSN went down, and I’ll say thank you. @IUwins0708 has gotten crappy treatment over there when his info doesn’t pan out. I appreciate what y’all tell us, unfortunately sometimes things out of your control happen. Sounds like the info was was legit but Boston wanted to keep him. To bad we can’t all be adults!

Well I for one don't think you were really wrong about anything Chris.  The end result changed when the Celtics matched the offer with a raise and probably job security.  Nothing we can do about that.  But I fully believe the events happened as you revealed and people thought it was a done deal when he agreed with our offer but then changed his mind.  Those of us who are reasonable around here, appreciate what you bring to the board @Chris007

My question now is...let’s say Steven’s leveraged our offer to get more out of Boston. Did he also impact our ability to get money out of donors in the future. I’d be pretty pissed if I shelled out $10M for a result I didn’t get...

Don't let this stop you from sharing with everyone. It seems like so many people were caught out by this, and it seems he used IU's offer to get himself a raise. You was just telling us what you knew to the best of your knowledge if anyone has got a problem with that then it is their problem. I appreciate everything you said and done.

What really sucks to me is that I wish Steven’s would say that he seriously considered the job and it was incredibly difficult for him to turn it down. That would help Indiana and the Indiana fans out quite a bit. Now we are going to get absolutely wrecked and ridiculed for believing that Stevens would consider us. Pisses me off. 
 

Also....the Boston fans are every bit as vitriolic as Indiana fans. They want him gone. His roster is not good. Wait until they find out he got a 2.5m raise.
