Every darn one of them had at least one loss in football and/or basketball. Incompetent. I'm telling you. And those facilities...as soon as they are remodeled or built, they get older. tyappleg Posted November 30, 2023 Posted November 30, 2023 It's day 246. People are still arguing about Scott Dolson. Though my eyes grow weary, I believe I can see the light at the end of the tunnel. hper50, thebigweave, Chris007 and 1 other 4 Quote

Does he stupidly continue with Adidas or do we finally move to Nike? That's a decision that is as big as any coaching decision. Unless that decision has already been made. I can pretty much guarantee you (96% I’ll call it) we remain with adidas. It’s all but done from what I understand. Quote

Lebowski Posted November 30, 2023 Posted November 30, 2023 If we finalize the Cig deal, I'm looking forward to seeing how it all played out. How things were negotiated, NIL, etc.etc. Something tells me Cig made some conditions with NIL money. Just a gut feeling. Because he's got something to prove and he probably needs some player upgrades to accomplish it. MemphisHoosier, cybergates, Dave from Dayton and 4 others 7 Quote

TTT Posted November 30, 2023 Posted November 30, 2023 I actually thought it would be Candle light….however, starved IU football is so giddy over a warm body for a successful win vs loss coach before his first touchdown at IU memorial football stadium. Tom Allen contract extension as result of successful defense as assistant, Covid year success a couple years and players interrupting his tv interview by saying he was the best coach in the country. Hired and extended based on emotion more than rationale. The Cig interview with fans and McAphee showed student involvement and enthusiasm in JM football program. For IU Cig has potential to be a good hire based on UNpower 5 wins vs losses and energy/enthusiasm. Three or four or five years in power 5 league will ultimately tell the story. IU should be encouraged with Whitten as their president. Much better than those since and including Brand…much much better. CSP 1 Quote

Cignetti may not have been a big conference HC, but from working at NC State and Saban's original Bama staff he does have high major recruiting experience and connections. He was WR coach and recruiting coordinator for Saban. I get the concern but it's not like he'd be completely new this level, he does have some experience to draw on. thebigweave, go iu bb and TTT 3 Quote

I doubt his practices would be compared to HS practices. Quote
