Brad Stevens will be the next coach at IU.  Done deal.

So I've been told.

Don’t get me wrong…..It’s no secret that I am one of several on here that would love for that to happen, but…..please, the “done deal” is like the kiss of death. Please take that part back! lol

I usually go with the confusion reaction lol

Confusion should be the only available reaction for this thread (or IU basketball in general the last 30 years).

I was watching Creighton like you told me to. :-)

I would never lead your wrong when it comes to college basketball watching.   You are welcome for the 2OT game that delivered.   Must be nice to have a coach that can find a way to win a game when your kids are not playing well.  They never led in regulation but still found a way to win.   Delivering

This is incredibly naive. Jon is benefiting from the instructor Duke has. Coach K didn't walk away from the program. He is overseeing it--helping Jon, making connections to money people, connections to coaches, other influences and recruits.

K literally has an office on campus, and runs a podcast there. Scheyer is coaching Duke in the same way a kid is driving the boat from his dad’s lap. He’s also still benefitting from an absurd recruiting advantage due to K. When no one wants Duke and the ACC collapses, their silly run is over. Book it.

You just want to find a way to work in the word delivering because you’re a mailman.

I bet you’d change your name if you were an executioner. Then you’d say something else about execution.

Dolson needs to shock the sh7t out of us with a huge name or sack up and go the Beard/Wade route. If  "Fire Woodson" chants were off-putting to him, the chants he hears after a Brownellesque hiring will be horrific.

I will bet $1000 of your hard earned money Brownell will not be the hire.

Duke hired Jon Scheyer, UNC hired Hubert Davis, and I’m still not sure who Kentucky’s coach is. Again, it’s a new era folks.

This. Looking at the searches for UK/UL last year, my expectations have been kept in check. UK is a blue blood program. If they had to move down their list because the heavy hitters wouldn’t go there, what makes us believe it’s different here?  It’s not different. NIL changes the playing field. You don’t have to go to a blue blood to get great players because they will come with money and coaching regardless. Is this still a desired job? Sure for some. But Pearl, Drew, Few, Oats don’t need to come to IU. They have established programs where they can and are winning.
I hope the white whale rumors are correct and we get the big fish. But I’m preparing myself for a McCollum, Wade, McMillan. I won’t be surprised  given todays college basketball landscape.

Watching the games live at the BTT, is amazing much worse IU’s sets look than anyone else’s.  Even with one big in the spacing is horrid

That eventual Jerry update is gonna hit like crack…or a freight train.

Supply and demand. You ask for it, the dealer will supply it.
