Why is McCollum looked at so highly while Byington and Devries aren't? Mark Byington already made the jump from mid-major and is immediately killing it at Vanderbilt. Darian DeVries was at Drake and was just as good as McCollum is doing now, and is at West Virginia doing a decent job right now. With McCollum, we have no idea what he would look like in a power conference.

He's won at unprecedented levels

There are some rumblings on the other site that Dolson was seen earlier this week getting one extra scoop of Ice Cream at Jiffy Treat.

We have our guy.

Peegs. Clearly something dropped on Peegs.

I really do not have a clue what is going down during this period.

Closing the deal is big for both sides.  But in negotiating a contract, the advantage goes to the person that gets the offer.

For instance, if one is offered...the offer means that you are The Chosen One.  You.

Now, the power if you will, goes to the recipient of the offer.  Negotiation can begin knowing I Am The Chosen One.  Evidently, a very unique and precious commodity.

I have always paused after an offer.

If The Man wants two weeks, and that is what it takes to close The Deal, then two weeks it is.   You want another week?

Why?

These guys and gals are talking turkey.  No need to hurry it.

If we get BS, I'm sure some on this board including Chris, will be getting baked...

I don't see a new coach announcement before the season ends. I really don't think Brad Stevens would approve of that while the team is in season.

Yeah, again, I think it's going to be "Brad Stevens has met with Indiana University about their upcoming vacant position. Talks are ongoing." Very similar to like Steichen being the Eagles OC while talking to the Colts...I don't think it officially "broke" until the day of the Super Bowl. Kellen Moore to the Saints is another example.
