If he feels the same about it as he did 4 years ago then I don’t see any way he takes the IU job.   Last cycle I told the people that started the candidates thread they could leave off Cronin.   I deliver mail in Martinsville and know someone with a really close connection to him.   They showed me some interesting texts from him on his thoughts on the IU situation.  However that was 4 years ago and maybe some things have changed.   I guess I could go across town and ask about this year but since I switched routes I’m not on that side of town

You could and then share that info, then be accused of pretending to be some self-important person on an anonymous message board.

98% of this thread will have nothing to do with the next coach. There are tons of names discussed here, all but one of which will not be the next coach and most of whom will never be in consideration. I'll never understand why people get so fixated on not discussing one particular name.

But, what if the next coach hasn’t been discussed here?? Then, 100% of this thread will be irrelevant! I feel like a mad genius with those math skills lol

No need to get your panties in a wad we’re not going to last in March that long anyways. I expect we’ll know very shortly after we take our last L. It’s a lot closer than it seems

I’ve been trying to reverse psychology a banner since Woody got refired. Fire him, he hangs #6 and gets another year or three. Easy trade imo. Pulling a Kevin Ollie if you will.

I think most would fall in love with Beard and his Knight-like personality. But the second he's photographed at Upstairs hammered.....we have trouble.

Get Larry Eustachey as his lead assistant.  Good times ahead.

They had been back channeling talking to each other for a while. I went back and looked yesterday, I was told in January what the offer was going to be to Brad. So that’s where I know the quick he said no stuff isn’t true. He almost said yes last time and Scott was going to clean up his mistakes. Does it mean he will end up our coach no but he hasn’t said no. No candidate has. The real question is does Scott already have this wrapped up? Some seem to think so.

Purdue Jockstraps to show up in 3,2,1

You hurt my feelings when you lie to me like this. :(

I think everyone will be happy unless it’s Chris Beard. I think everyone else most fans can get behind. Even if it’s Beard a lot of fans will.

I’m not big of a fan of most of the coaching candidates. I have to say the last 10 years has really taken a toll on me. He who must not be named would get me pumped up, after that I’d just as soon have Schertz or input whatever up and coming young coaches name that plays a good brand of ball and will work hard.

Big words from someone advertising their murder technique via screen name.

But I’ll say it again, if the world needs more of one thing, it’s optimism.

I can tell you there has been significant donor talk of Beard and TJ.  I can also tell you from past experience that donor talk typically doesn’t mean a whole lot unless it’s from the very, very top donors.

Beard has always been an option. I’m not here to debate Beard or not…I understand why people like him and why some don’t. What I will tell you, is that he would win big at Indiana. Whether that happens or not…who knows, probably not based on our hiring history, but to say he has a zero chance of getting hired is incorrect…and as has been stated before, Beard definitely wants to be at Indiana.

That username continues to be an abomination.
