That is, imo, a bigger future unknown and could possibly exceed NIL in importance. I have no idea if Drew is considering all this or not. But I wouldn’t want to be the basketball coach of a non-B1G/SEC in Texas of all places having to lobby the admin every year against the football program for my share of an already small pool of money relative to the Big 2 conf schools. Texas Tech would fall in this category too. But McCasland will just wait for Texas or A/M it seems. Drew is at least from Indiana, thus the hopeful extrapolation. IU, UK, and a few others are in the exact opposite position: strong basketball allocations relative to the football programs from a very big pool most likely.
