elaborate please

Just seems like they were the ones blowing all the smoke and they were totally wrong? Unless this a smokescreen and we’re still alive??? Who knows!

I mean if we want to be realistic for a minute..

The program was over when Dolson couldn’t hire anyone better than Woodson. That’s the ugly truth.
Which is pathetic givennour resources. Chris Beard would come but we will take bronwell before we ever take beard or pearl.

Now, Stevens has spoken here on Feb. 14, but some at IU are not confident that constitutes a hard and final “No.” They see it as nothing more than a public comment that sometimes happens during these processes. - Rabby

Yeah I’m bummed but at least as quoted what Goodman reported is not a denial. Not gonna hold my breath but it could be a misdirection, a negotiation tactic, etc

If we’re being honest, it’s not news. Brad was not quoted in saying he’s not a candidate. He just gave a quote saying he enjoys being a Celtic.

Maybe it's just me not wanting to let the dream go yet (ha) but...

Yes, I'm curious how this exchange went down - how did Goodman frame the question? Did Stevens say anything else or just that he enjoys being a Celtic? If it was via email I'd like him to post the exchange though I'm sure he won't. Goodman is goofy enough that I could see him misinterpreting the situation and running with it to try and be first. He is a clown.

Taking it a step further for sh!tz and gigs, even though we all know it's over...

If reporters were asking the IU AD/Stevens about a potential deal and for a comment, how would they probably respond?

Probably along the lines of...

  • IU AD: As a matter of policy, we do not comment on specific individuals as it pertains to our hiring process
  • BS: I love being a Boston Celtic and am focused on the future of this team.

BS actual quote from Goodman was that he "thoroughly appreciates being a Celtic and love the people I get to work with every day."

Anywho...

Dolson took a shot and missed. Fine, swing for the fences, you have to try.

Plenty of time to find a legit CBB lifer candidate.

Man this really had it all:

Contract numbers, Pfau planes and Hanscom AFB in Bedford MA, the AAU call, beefing up the non-con yesterday, secret meetings in Philly and Miami, Stevens’ family ties pulling him back to Indiana, Dolson/Brad longterm friendship.

What a load of BALOGNA

I can't decide if I want stevens more now so that iu basketball great or if I want our valued insiders to put these deniers in their place. These exact types of denial are common place. It stevens until we announce someone else imo

But but Scott had no choice!
