  3. It's time to accept that IU is a really good football team. This win, in my opinion, doesn't diminish at all that Oregon is also a really good football team. Both can be true. Today, IU was better. We have to maintain focus and make sure that the next game is the most important on the schedule. Win that one and move on to the next. What I really hope is that this helps to convince even better high school kids to join the program. And that wins like this boost our budget to sign better players.

  4. Absolutely incredible. WOW. What a day! My boy won his sectional soccer match during it too. Had to hide the phone for a few hours. Sarratt is awesome and Mendoza is my new favorite. He’s a smart and tough QB. His post games interviews always crack me up. Love his faith in God and his bit of nerdiness that comes through.

  5. Indiana’s “undersized” defense at Oregon: 6 sacks 8 TFLs 2 INTs 267 total yards allowed 2.7 yards per rush allowed 3-of-14 on third downs

  6. So happy for everyone involved with IUFB right now. What a time to be a fan. It's crazy to think that when Tom Allen was fired I was just hoping we'd get a guy who would consistently get us to 6 or 7 wins a year. Just didn't want to be an automatic win for damn near 80% of the conference How quickly things can change.

  14. How huge was Franke's 58 yard field goal before half time. (actually hit it twice). Without that, this could have been just a one score difference at the end.

  15. Oregon folks, who are being pretty gracious in defeat (like they even have a choice after receiving gift after gift from The Stripes and still being largely dominated), have resorted to “this loss was needed. Now we don’t have to worry about going undefeated again. We can just play free.” Curt Cignetti has broken the will of another state research university.

  16. They are no Northwestern. Northwestern didn’t need OT to beat Penn State

  17. I think the absolute floor is 3. I’m fairly certain it’ll be OSU, Miami, IU.

  18. Rankings don’t matter, but someone will have to make a pretty good case for why anyone should be above IU in that poll tomorrow other than Ohio State. *looking at you, Miami

  30. We always talk about in basketball big names not leaving for the blue bloods (UK hiring Pope) I think that’s the case for Cignetti. He’ll have a statue, streets named after him and parade if he retired today. He could ride an 8 win floor at IU and never worry about job security

  31. I don’t particularly like him, but I think Franklin will make some fanbase really happy. If I’m Va Tech I make him say no 50 times.

  33. He’s not just a first team All-American linebacker on a top 5 team; Aiden Fisher is also the captain and on-field signal caller for the best defense in the 126+ year history of Indiana football. And he was the captain and signal caller for last year’s top defense too.

  37. Cignetti in post game interview…..what stood out to me the most was when he addressed how big the Oregon win was. He stated it was a big win and said he had a couple wins at his last place that he coached that were equal to this win…..kinda sounds like something Bob Knight would say….and to me it’s a statement of remembering where he came from in honor of those players, coaches and others involved in those programs…..Pure class.

  39. I'm sure this has been discussed/posted -- but consider this ... Oregon scored 14 points on a busted coverage and a pick six. They were damn lucky to get the 20 they did.
