The recruiting doors he opens in state and in Florida can't be overstated. As far as Sheridan goes, I can understand some of the pensive reactions. I'm a bit biased as I coached Nick in jr high and know his dad. His dad is a long time asst coach at the high D1 and NFL level. It's a football family with the mindset that will mesh well with what CTA preaches. Nick as a freshman had a football IQ that was off the charts and a personality of a true leader. If he's continued to develop those qualities, I think we may have gotten us a real good one. Go Hoosiers!

Bloomington South hangs on (barely) for a 44-41 win. At the end of 3, South led 40-27. In the 4th Q, Leal picked up his 4th foul and went to the bench for about 3 min. during which North cut the lead to 7. Leal returned and 30 sec. later picked up #5 and South scrambled for dear life for the rest of the game. I had Leal with 18; announcers said 16. I had 6-15 FG; just 1-6 on 3s; 5-7 FT; 7 reb; 1 assist; 1 TO; 5 stls; 1 blk. The more games I watch of him, he seems to have a knack for knowing where the ball is going and he also has quick hands. He's definitely not afraid to take it to the bucket and IMO the refs could have called fouls on North but didn't. Public Service Announcement: I try to get recruit game info posted as quickly as possible but that won't be the case for the next 2 weeks. I'm going to be lounging on white sandy beaches watching scantily clad women cavort. Watching because 1) that's all my wife will let me do and 2) at my age watching is all I can do. Ohio State falls to 11-5 and 1-4 in conference. Starting to lose a lot of faith in KenPom. Ohio State entered today ranked #4 in Pom and their offense was 14th.....despite being held under 60 points for three straight games. That streak is now at 4. And 9-7 Purdue at #22? Pffft.

Archie Miller totally outcoached Holtmann and his highly rated team today (Yes, that's said with sarcasm but for the ones who would have proudly claimed the opposite if we'd lost)

I was just told by a family member who works at IU in athletics, that Bobby is at cook hall currently eating, and will be attending the game. Still not sure what to believe, but I guess we will see.

There are no more bad losses to worry about. Every game we have left is a Quad 1 or 2 and they are going to stay that way. At this point it’s about quantity of wins. Defend home court and we don’t need to win a road game. Let’s win the next 2 in order to have a cushion though. Feel free to cheer Arkansas on btw.

One thing I haven’t seen mention is for all the injuries that have basically ruined DeRon’s career, he was very good in this game. Same. We’re all doom and gloom when the last several games have looked the way they have, but even small adjustments can alter your season’s trajectory. It was hard to gauge how the team would play, from a focus/attitude standpoint, after a tumultuous week. Great to see everyone play hard and seemingly “buy-in”. Big win in spite of another bad scoring drought and missing a ton of free throws.

If nothing else it will be loud to start the game. Hopefully the team gives us all a reason to stay loud. This will be my first time in the Hall in years and the lowest I've ever sat so I'm about as excited as a kid on Christmas Eve.

26 years old here, I watched IUBB with my dad since the day I was born but my first real vivid memories was that 2002 run, which was Knight's team but not him coaching obviously. Having said that, my dad's told me all about RMK and being such a hardcore fan I'm well versed in who he was and what he's meant to this university. I get the sense most younger adults are in that same boat.
