Did he inherit a staff or did he have to bring that too. A winning mindset. If you listen to Cig when he got here he couldn’t believe the “loser mentality” we had with football. He really had to focus on that with the administration and the fans, like getting the fans to stick around during the game. Ryno6284, Pagoda, JustWinBaby and 4 others 7 Quote

It may have come down to the fact that DeVries and WVa were done, and McCollum and Drake were still playing.Regardless, we got a really good coach, and I’m pumped for next year. pumpfake, Ryno6284, moyemayhem and 5 others 8 Quote

Hunter: $432k Rosemond: $410k Walsh: $225k Those add up to less than $1.1M. I think they also get retention bonuses that a are in the 10s of thousands and bonuses so they do make more than that but not a ton. I've looked at few other assistant coaches at other schools and they made more. Luke Murray at UConn is making $750k. Murphy at Alabama is making $450k which is on par with ours but still more. I agree that that total for IU seems low, which is why I'm hoping they increase the budget like they did for football. Give the program a chance to hire a big time assistant and retain him for pretty much anything except for a HC job. These are tricky numbers to find. Latest Mind Your Banners pod Osterman said IU had the largest staff budget in the B1G last year and it was one of the tops in the country (if not the top, wow). This does line up with the very large overall operating budget IUBB has. I would guess at IU CDD will have the budget to basically hire whoever he wants. It seems like CDD typically has a large staff, so we should have a lot of staff announcements coming soon. Also, this latest pod is a good one. They talked to some coaches on an anonymous basis that faced CDD throughout the years, etc. and it's pretty interesting stuff. go iu bb 1 Quote

Question with him will be consistency at this level. If I was him I would be very choosy where I ended up. I wanted him here but I also don’t think it would have been the best fit for him. He is a great basketball mind though. I think DeVries if you think about it will be the better fit long term. 8bucks, skhoosier2, cybergates and 2 others 5 Quote
