I would keep an eye on Scott Drew.  Not sure IU would go his route however Drew and Goodman are good friends and Goodman put out a tweet when IU was getting boat raced the other night that Dolson should make the call.  I’m guessing Drew’s people are getting that out there as soon as possible to plant the seed

He said this right after Baylor won the title that we should hire him. Goodman saying this should not be taken seriously.

I can verify all of this and have heard none from AP2345. I will add that Brad's dad is an IU grad and I think he really wants Brad to coach IU while he is still able to enjoy it. Or so I've been told. There is more but that is the gist of it

I have also heard family is a factor so I could totally see that.

My guess is Goodman using IU as a way for a contract extension or pay increase for Drew. He is Baylor basketball - bargaining chip imo

Wouldn't hate it but didn't he say no to UK?

Don't see him leaving unless he's made the highest paid coach in college basketball - just get those vibes from him.

Dude, I would love it if it bears fruit but the guy left coaching altogether for the C's, hasn't coached in years, is getting up in years (not old but it's been a while since he was on the floor), and man we've been down this road twice already. If it starts to pick up steam I'll be very interested. But no way am I just going to buy in, and Rabby really doesn't know jack about him FWIW, no idea about Trilly but not a believer in him. Like  your posts here, but no, I'm not buying in on this.

Getting up in years? He's 48.

That would be interesting. I'd be surprised if he ever left Baylor. It's a perfect fit for him as a private Baptist university. Not sure IU would be a good cultural fit.

I’m guessing the NIL money is infinitely better at IU.  How much do Skip and Joanna pony up a year?  Probably not nearly as much as the Cooks, Simon’s, etc.

I don’t see May taking the IU job. If IU was in a different conference than I could see it, but Imo I think he will stay put. I hope I’m wrong.
Also as far as Stevens goes, I think that NIL has ruined it for him. If he wanted to deal with a bunch of prima Donna players he would have kept on coaching in the NBA.

I'm not dead set on one guy, I'm dead set on someone who knows what it takes to win and with that we have options. As long as the only two who are involved are Dolson and Pam we should get someone who fits and we'll be just fine. I'm ready for this nightmare season to end.

Yikes for Woodson.

That's one consolation all parties can take solace in. The Woodson era is crumbling before our eyes as a spectacularly awful experiment gone wrong after an offseason filled with optimism from a talented portal class, but this team is going nowhere fast. It won't be long before the season, and Woodson's split with his alma mater, will be complete. After Tuesday's debacle, that inevitability is all but a certainty.

Yes everything would be fine with Tracy if everyone stays out of the way and just let Scott handle it. I wasn't calling her Kathy, I was talking about our resident insider who works in the "athletic department".

He is still involved, sits right behind the bench each game, hopefully not involved in the search though. He does donate to the NIL

Even Steve is allowable to provide Scott the full runway now. There’s no one left in Woody’s corner. This was a “prove it” year by giving him almost unlimited funds. If he can’t prove it now, then they have been given their answer.

plus the NIL will still be there. They love IU too much.
