Tonight shows we're at the point where Dolson needs to save Mike from himself if Mike doesn't already understand what needs doing.
This was never going to end good. Nba coaches fail in college
Especially ones that aren't good and don't work hard. Tjd saved him for two years but still underperformed. Nobody should be surprised.

Look I know this isn’t the place for this but what else do you want Goode to say?

It’s a life lesson in attitude to decide to be resilient. They have to think they’re gonna cook eventually despite no signs for a positive future.

You can talk about getting back on track without bringing the fans into it.

Woodson needs to rack up the losses on his own record.

This may be the most compelling point for why Woodson will be convinced to retire mid-season, lol.

Can't risk that .400 and change career winning pct dipping into the .300s.

If he leaves soon he will still be low .600s winning pct in college I think.

His ego/vanity should not be underestimated IMO

I want them all to take accountability and say something to the effect of he understands the fans’ frustration and the only thing to do is to work hard to improve.  But no one on the team will accept responsibility and the culture established from the top down is blame the fans

Sure. I think that Goode does own it. He was directly asked about the fans. He can only say “yeah we’re a flaming turdpile” so many ways.

On the other hand CMW is skewered for saying “I gotta get them over the hump” “it’s on me” repeatedly. It’s just so hollow.

Im NOT defending CMW. Not gonna happen. But Goode is still a child. Yes he’s paid. Yes he’s a senior. But they’re still young players. I can’t in good conscience expect the poor guy to come out and say damn I wish I had a real coach.

Really feels that way. I’d still like to think Woody couldn’t be so oblivious to reality that he doesn’t know that toxic doesn’t begin to describe how this will go, but he’s definitely said things that make it seem like he’s delusional before so who knows.

Then again I watched us lose to Auburn by 28 in person last year and that wasn’t even the worst loss that season and we didn’t make a move lol

Kenya

Calbert

those are the two realistic choices in order if you ask me. Both would be 100% place holders for the off-season coaching search and one should be in that position by next week if our administration has any sense.

This is beyond sad to watch and everyone, including Woody knows it.

I was about to say…what good does it do keeping Woodson any longer? Tonight proved that point. Tag Calbert with the interim tag

He just needed to say he understands the fans frustration and they are going to work hard to meet expectations. It's not complicated. Don't take a shot at the people who are paying to see a good product

True. Absolutely. But in his defense he was asked “what do you say to the fans”. Context matters a bit here. I dunno.

We lost Dusty when we brought Woody back....he has Michigan at #20 and climbing, they are scoring a lot of points!

And he picked a terrible answer to the question lol. But it’s whatever. I really don’t care what a six-month Hoosier has to say after the team’s second straight 25 point L. Two more months and we can move past this disastrous tenure.

He basically has an IU buyout in his contract.  He negotiated it so he can watch our offseason unfold.

Wow! Couldn't catch tonights game as I was busy. However, I am excited to see the last 10 pages of comments regarding tonights L. It appears this team has failed, once again. Mike Woodson has failed, once again. The student section has turned on him and the program is DEAD!

Tonight was a huge win for the tank train. We are making our way through the Rust Belt and will be back in Bloomington at the end of March!

BRAD *********** STEVENS!

Both Goode and Leal clearly said that their performances have been embarrassing and that they absolutely understand why the fans are upset and booed them.

That isn't exactly what others are reporting they heard?

Thanks, I didn't know that.
