I think the grumpy Schlick will be tolerated as long as he is winning. As soon as he hits a losing streak he will be arrogant, condescending, and a curmudgeon.

What are some things people complain about with Woodson?:  bad offense, throwing players under the bus....that's Cronin.  And his constant whining will become nauseating pretty fast.

I want a fanbase to absolutely loathe us for taking their coach. Just as JMU football fans did last offseason. I knew we were in for a ride when every Dukes fan online hated Indiana for months. They probably still do.

Yep, terrible fit, his career timing and IU’s timing don’t make sense to me, wears out his welcome everywhere.

Also elsewhere in the thread Tyme suggests he thinks Cronin and Cig are similar temperamentally and that’s what Dolson’s looking for. He’s definitely wrong on temperament and I think he’s wrong on the second part two (even setting aside football/bball differences, at IU especially).

Good lord lol. I’ve never once seen Cig be adversarial toward the media, his players, or his staff. Mick can do all 3 over his morning coffee and not think twice.

We need a coaching hot board updated daily based on results. For example:

 

-Bruce Pearl - goes to the bottom of the list after an embarrassing home loss. OTOH…

 

-Brad Brownell - catapults into the top 3 after beating Duke 

 

-Chris Beard - stays in the “maybe” pile after barely squeaking by an average LSU squad. 
 

It’s the only way we’ll get this hire right.
