    Fire Coach Woodson

I can actually shoot the 3 well… so no spot for me on this coaching staff’s roster.

Thanks for sharing the insights you have. It makes this board a lot of fun! To any of us who dreamed about playing basketball for the Hoosiers, this next year might be our opportunity! I still have some eligibility left. Could bring some wisdom to the team.

Wouldn't logic predicate that Pearl will be interested in an opening if it were to occur next year? Or will Pearl never be approved by the BoT? To me, the silver lining is that we aren’t willing to roll the dice on a “flavor of the month” HC hire. Also, in the spirit of silver linings - I’m seeing quite a few guards hit the portal. All who can shoot better than anyone on our current roster.

    NCAA MBB Transfer Portal

Caleb Love sure would be a nice addition to the roster. Maybe Woody can showcase JHS (assuming he gets drafted 1st round) as an example of how our program could help Love.
  5. I’m not going to get too worked up over who stays. With a transfer portal that’ll be more full than years past, it will be fun to see how Woodson and company do with attracting players that can turn our program around.
  6. I’m hopeful Coach Woodson will turn things around for our program! In continuing with this thread - will we ever know what actually happened with Brad Stevens? This hire has me wondering if this was a Billy Donovan situation all over again.
  7. Yep. I won’t say much more than that.
  8. To stoke the fire... a Crean era player who by his own words “stays in-touch with the program” told me as recent as last week that Stevens is still in-play.
  9. This! It’s been one heck of a ride and has given us all something to root for, since we didn’t have a dog in the fight this tourney.
  10. I agree with you. But why couldn’t Stevens have given a more mild response if he is actually interested in the job? And why are all the national media guys so certain he never considered the job? Good thing we have Billy Donovan as a backup plan.
  11. If we are planning to wait, it sure seems like we’re putting all of our eggs in one basket. In Dolson we trust.
  12. There’s no doubt canning Archie was the right move. I feel like we may have had less players in the transfer portal if we retained Archie until closer to the end of the NBA season. This is assuming Stevens is the guy and has been from day 1 and that Stevens sticks out the rest of the season with the Celtics.
  13. Been lurking for a while. Finally decided to jump in. If we’re willing to wait until the end of the NBA season for Stevens - why didn’t we retain Archie until the end of the season drew closer? I get that retaining Archie would restrict our ability to pursue other collegiate coaches, but if Stevens has been the goal from day 1 the timing seems odd.
