Haha, well this Purdue Jockstrap is all for hiring Beard.  When it was established that Woodson wouldn't be coming back next year, Beard was my second thought(after Stevens) to help IU get back to winning again.  IU needs a hungry coach that WANTS the Indiana job.  A coach who WANTS to achieve what all of us fans want and hang banner number 6.  Did he do a bad thing at Texas?  Absolutely.  But I believe in second chances, and I believe there is two sides to a story.........If Dolson does a background check and vets Beard, then I believe in his judgement and processes.  I just want IU to win again, and win consistently.  They can also under pay Beard and allow more money for assistants to help out.  Idk.....I think the positives outweigh the negatives with a Beard hire.

Lots of agent stuff flying around right now. Lots of people in IU circles are saying different names and some are saying different candidates are done. Scott has hired like 5 different coaches in the last week if you listen to every single rumor.
