McDermott would be a fantastic hire in my opinion Also: IU in 2025 is a very different job than Iowa State in 2006 especially when it comes to attracting talent. McDermott is the kind of guy that NIL would benefit greatly. thebigweave and Uspshoosier 2

I don't doubt that the Big East may have had some teams at the top better than the BT but I would be curious how all the teams compare by conference. I personally give the edge Big East because they have produced 4 national titles. B1G ranks ahead of them by Warren Nolan’s metric. I’m sure kenpom ranks conferences as well. My point was the Big East is major conference in basketball and he has been coaching in that league and doing well. People act like he coaches in the MEAC 2025 Big 10 2nd, Big East 4th 2024 Big 10 3rd, Big East 2nd 2023 Big 10 2nd, Big East 3rd 2022 Big 10 3rd, Big East 4th Per KenPom. To your point, clearly a power conference and pretty comparable to having success in the Big 10. Ryno6284, HoosierSadaseci, Uspshoosier and 2 others 3 2

Popular Post IU Prof Posted March 4 Popular Post Posted March 4 I don't think it's totally implausible that Woody would have heard Brad was out of the running. If Brad's statement to Goodman on the 14th was definitive, then word may have reached Woody. That would also be consistent with an interpretation of things going silent since then, insofar as after Brad, Dolson may have needed to wait until mid-March to seriously pursue any current coach. Not saying that's necessarily what happened, just that you can come up with a plausible story (although I know some of the insiders will say that's not right...and perhaps rightly so). Buddy, there’s no way a coach that’s as disgruntled as Woodson is going to know who the next coach is or be remotely involved in any coaching process or decision. If he is being told anything it’s all a fluff job. If I remember correctly, Woodson has a huge ego that needs to be fed. lillurk 1

Popular Post tyappleg Posted March 4 Popular Post Posted March 4 Considering Woodson isn't even doing radio interviews anymore and seemingly burning every bridge on his way out. Also complaining to national media about him not being the coach next year, even though it was presented as his choice. I don't believe he knows a damn thing about what Scott Dolson is doing. He might think he does. Not saying Stevens or Drew will be our coach, I just don't think you can take anything he says seriously. kottke, Banksyrules, IUGRAD06 and 9 others 12
