If Sterling is right that IU has their guy, I'd think it's someone that isn't currently coaching. I'd have a hard time seeing a current coach agreeing to terms (or signing) with a new program when they're getting geared up for March; any contact would just be through agents and reps right now I'd think.

Stevens, if he returns to coaching, is immediately a top five or ten working coach in the English-speaking world.

He’s been excellent in a front office role but in college that’s a much simpler job than in the NBA. If you can here BS and he’s willing to coach, he’s the coach.

It seems strange to me that he’d want to be a GM or similar at the college level.

Maybe just me but I wouldn't say that unless their was an agreement on terms at the least and I'd be hesitant to do that without a signature.

If it was just that they have a guy they feel good about I wouldn't say they got their guy.

Glad Sterling posted what he did. Whether he’s right or not, his post at least got this thread back on point of discussing the coaching search instead of the people here who feel it necessary to bash Woodson in this thread. Thought there was a separate thread for that and too bad that the mods don’t steer posters who want to continue with the criticism to that thread.

And since it seems any topic is open for conversation here. Today’s game certainly suggests that there are guys on our current roster who are worth keeping for the next regime. Played their hearts out today. People who have made the comment that they are done with the entire team and no one should be kept really need to rethink that opinion

We’re good.  Maybe some of the Mods that do this for free might have had 2 daughters playing in their own basketball tourneys today and might of not had time to check on this thread but thanks for the suggestion.  Looks like the thread is getting along just fine though so…..
