McCormick. The Michigan Insider. Mentioned in Criler's Corner on 247 board

I wonder what he thinks now. That was 8 days ago and I think Goodman's tweet was 7 days ago. So that was before the tweet.

Only 7 days!? It seems like forever ago. And we're looking at 4-6 weeks until we finally find out who will be the coach. That'll be a looooong month plus.

Yup. And at some point some higher profile gig than Ole Miss will be willing to take a swing.

Pretty sure he’d be walking the sideline in Lexington or Louisville if he wasn’t radioactive.  Getting “vetted” by Ole Miss is laughable.

For sure and it’ll be interesting to see who’s ultimately willing to take that swing. It’s gonna be like the insane deal on a house because of the murder/suicide there. Are you willing to be that guy? Somebody will.

UM has another insider that says Dusty will stay and Stevens will be at iu. Take insider info with a grain of salt.

Is that posted recently, like in response to the other insider seating Dusty will stay?

Someone will for sure eventually. I think the thing that sticks the most if you’re willing to hand wave the charges, is we’d be benefiting by getting an elite coach who is only “available” because of the incident. Those facts are inexorably linked. He wouldn’t even be a down ballot hot board candidate if he hadn’t been arrested, he’d be at his alma mater.

Just did a little study on coaches who were at IU

So TC  was hired on 4/1/08

Then AM  was hired on 3/25/17

Current coach on 3/28/21

I also checked all these coaches were hired during the NCAA tournament how be it toward the end but I found it interesting ,so we have to wait 4 more weeks then ?

The transfer portal may have an effect on this hiring date.

I was thinking about all the baggage with coaches and Tom Izzo was able to shake off  the scandal of his assistant coach Travis Walton assaulting  a woman and later another sexual assault.  Also his players too, can't remember which guys were  involved in another similar thing.  Tom just said he didn't know, but I don't know.  I've always thought he was a good guy, but clearly he had some bad dudes around him.
