This is just per Trilly?  He could be right, but nothing from Thamel or Osterman yet?

I'm fine with DeVries (not that I matter) and it could be him, but I'm not buying the current sources just yet...

He tied for 1st once in the conference. That's not winning. That's tying. I just don't understand why we should be excited about this hire.

People say Archie Miller won at Dayton but 'everybody wins at Dayton'.

Prior to DeVries, NOBODY won at Drake.  In the last 50 years, Drake has had 16 winning seasons.......six for six with DeVries, 10 of 44 with everybody else.  Five NCAA appearances in 50 years.....three were DeVries.  In the last 50 years, they had won 20 or more games 8 times.  DeVries was 6 of 6, everyone else was 2 of 44.

I think that's DeVries and Bob Huggins.

Can we finally admit that Dolson didn't have a coach locked up for weeks and weeks? It seems that he had requirements for a coach and used a search firm to help him identify candidates, just like other teams do.

It it sounds like Devries met with IU and also met with Iowa recently. It sounds like Dolson "retired" Woody w/o having a coach in his back-pocket.

I imagine that's correct. The Stevens stuff was such nonsense past shear due diligence. Dolson most likely spent the last 12 months profiling what he wanted for program leadership and doing some investigation into candidate fits who might be available. The search firm then filled in the blanks for him and when 1 of the guys he identified became available prematurely, thank you UNC AD, Dolson jumped. I don't see how that's not really, really good.
