Yep. The players deserve some blame for this season. Rarely have they played with the effort we saw in the second half.

Had they?  And if Mbako would even TRY to?  And Carlyle could do.....anything positive?  IU would be 22-5 instead of 16-11.  Woodson finally benched kids who weren't playing hard and figured out who he can't play together.  That second half was spectacular and I'm happy for all involved.  I promise Leal and Galloway were very vocal at halftime.   Last shot at these dudes....etc.  It worked.

Had to watch the game on DVR due to family stuff. Thoughts are that this is partially what Dolson had hoped for with the announcement mid season (in addition to sending a legend out gracefully and lowering his buyout). What you saw was a bunch of guys whose boss is getting fired playing for their contracts next year under the new regime or in the portal. Like it or not, it’s easy to forget these semi-pro athletes have some big business decisions to make in the coming months. Regardless, always good to get a win over Purdue.

Purdue boards seem distraught that Painter didn't hit the portal and get a rim protector.

Truth is that he had one in Daniel Jacobsen before he got hurt.  What I don't understand is why Purdue fans aren't bemoaning the fact that guys like Furst and Berg simply didn't develop.

I've been critical of this team since the Louisville game. That being said what we saw today is all we really want as IU fans. I don't care who the coach is or if we get 5 stars, portal guys, or a 3 star from Indiana. Just freaking play hard. That second half was as good of a half as we've seen here in quite some time. I hope Woodson keeps the same lineup and rotations. This is the time of the year you shorten your bench. It would be nice to see these guys go on a small run.

Speaking of the portal....I have seen multiple sarcastic comments on X about Braden Smith and Kansas next year. Anyone seen anything similar?

I think it was established awhile ago that ScottDolsonsBurner isn't Kopp. Kopp is playing professionally and the account had tweets during his games. But we've definitely had some guys recently who don't or didn't handle criticism well. Trayce and Race would argue with fans on social media after bad games.
