The video seems far more like a return announcement than a highlight tape. It was emphasizing IU and the caption is a return is coming. I know his first year here wasn’t great, but he was also not set up for success. He’s more talented than most backup ball handlers we’d find in the portal at this point. I’d be very cool with a reunion HoosierHoopster, cybergates, hoosierfan6157 and 1 other 4 Quote

No. He played here during 1 of the hardest years to be an IU player, ever. No way he has fond memories. And just can’t see a result where a kid playing his last year of college is looking for 12-15 mins a night as a mostly back up PG. But, in the 1 in a million shot that that is the case what a ridiculously good add it would be. Pagoda, str8baller and J34 3 Quote

Jeff Flabjohns Posted Thursday at 12:26 PM Posted Thursday at 12:26 PM No…please no. I can’t watch that kid get his lunch eaten by the opposing PG over and over and over again. Even in a backup role. Crimson and Cream and BGleas 2 Quote
Home Jersey Posted Thursday at 12:44 PM Posted Thursday at 12:44 PM I think my brain has been protecting me from remembering the Woody era because despite knowing that Rice played a big role for us, I can barely recall anything about his time here specifically. Wish him well at Washington State in all likelihood. BannerVille, kottke and triple 3 Quote

I still occasionally wake up in a cold sweat from a nightmare where IU is down 1 with 15 sec to go and Woodson is on the sidelines telling everyone to clear out for Rice. Odd he wouldn't show highlights from each of his 3 schools though if that was the case. Lol. Maybe he only had one good edit and it was an Indiana edit. Ware is the only player I can remember who's talents didn't take a giant step back after playing under Woody. TJD became a much better passer out of the posting suppose. Rice's WSU tape was impressive. We set him back years on his development. It would be weird seeing him back, but a good redemption story is alot of fun. Quote

There were plenty of players with notable improvement under Woody; JHS as the season went on; Race, Killer Mopp, Gallo, ALeal. TJD went from 'talented but really inconsistent' to almost national player of the year. Pagoda, str8baller, Dave from Dayton and 1 other 2 1 1 Quote

I mean, why not, at this stage of his career he’s a practice player. Couldn’t get off the bench on a terrible Maryland team. Im saying this TIC. Hoping to manifest the staff and DeVries some urgency to take these last 3 spots seriously and actually try to improve the team. Yes, I’m bitter. ronzo4IU 1 Quote

WayneFleekHoosier Posted yesterday at 12:46 AM Posted yesterday at 12:46 AM The roster isn’t as good as they think it is. And they are wishcasting quite a bit in the development department. Is it more exciting than last season? Absolutely. So we will always have that at least. Injuries to the key 3 and things get hairy quickly. It might be anyway if projections don’t project. Highly unlikely it’s a championship quality roster, but it’s better than what I’m used to or expected. Having to find 12 players for $20m isn’t as easy as one would think!
