He would be a great BACKUP pg. that being said, i feel like he didn’t play a lot at Maryland so there isn’t much video footage of him playing there and he’s just being a typical young athlete reposting his old film while reminiscing or something to that extent.

The video seems far more like a return announcement than a highlight tape. It was emphasizing IU and the caption is a return is coming.

I know his first year here wasn’t great, but he was also not set up for success. He’s more talented than most backup ball handlers we’d find in the portal at this point. I’d be very cool with a reunion

Myles Rice(???) posted a TikTok an hour ago with the caption "The return is coming" with IU highlights.

Not sure what's going on with that, but that would be another ball handler.

And only one year.  We needed, at least, one more of those.

You're absolutely content at the 1-3 spots if he's added.

On his Instagram he posts pictures from all of his stops.

If I'm making an educated guess, he would be returning to Washington State, where the community really embraced him.

Yeah, there is no way that kid is coming back to Bloomington. No. He played here during 1 of the hardest years to be an IU player, ever. No way he has fond memories. And just can’t see a result where a kid playing his last year of college is looking for 12-15 mins a night as a mostly back up PG. But, in the 1 in a million shot that that is the case what a ridiculously good add it would be.

it is all IU stuff he posted, though. I agree--- highly unlikely.. but the video was straight IU.

Could definitely be that.  Odd he wouldn't show highlights from each of his 3 schools though if that was the case. Lol.

Maybe he only had one good edit and it was an Indiana edit.

Ware is the only player I can remember who's talents didn't take a giant step back after playing under Woody. TJD became a much better passer out of the posting suppose. Rice's WSU tape was impressive. We set him back years on his development.  It would be weird seeing him back, but a good redemption story is alot of fun.

There were plenty of players with notable improvement under Woody; JHS as the season went on; Race, Killer Mopp, Gallo, ALeal. TJD went from 'talented but really inconsistent' to almost national player of the year.

The Oracle of Raby says Rice ain't comin' back to IU.

I mean, why not, at this stage of his career he’s a practice player.  Couldn’t get off the bench on a terrible Maryland team.

Im saying this TIC. Hoping to manifest the staff and DeVries some urgency to take these last 3 spots seriously and actually try to improve the team.

Yes, I’m bitter.

Just to calm some of the worriers...

I’m not sure that calms anybody?   Since it’s gonna be hard to do.  Wish they were convinced they had a plan.

Feels like we have another built in excuse in the making

The roster isn’t as good as they think it is. And they are wishcasting quite a bit in the development department. Is it more exciting than last season?  Absolutely. So we will always have that at least.  Injuries to the key 3 and things get hairy quickly.  It might be anyway if projections don’t project.

Highly unlikely it’s a championship quality roster, but it’s better than what I’m used to or expected.

Having to find 12 players for $20m isn’t as easy as one would think!
