Personally I'd like a real backup/bench point to go w/a big, don't really have a feel for Lindsay's ability to run point Edit - I don't know much about his game on ball, have seen him classified as a PG and also just as a guard, averaged under 3 APG at Villanova, I take it a combo guard. I feel better about about where we are on ball after reading up on him, but still think we need another on ball guard - jmo fwgreenway, WayneFleekHoosier, BtownStrength and 1 other 4 Quote

WayneFleekHoosier Posted Monday at 09:20 PM Posted Monday at 09:20 PM We’ve got an Ivan Renko situation on our hands. Kinda has the look of the default player on any sports game ever made. It’s no wonder why our amazing sleuths can’t ID him. Stuhoo 1 Quote

He’s a quality depth piece and good enough to the point where you won’t fall off a cliff if Samet or Sherrell get hurt. His lack of development over the course of his career is concerning, but at this stage he is what he is and that’s more than competent for the role we need to fill the most. We already have three freshman whom we don't know if they will be in the rotation -- if we have developmental players at the 12 and 13 positions then what you are saying is that we potentially have only eight players that could be valued as rotational players, Hardwood83, Crimson and Cream, Home Jersey and 2 others 5 Quote

As much as the staff did favorably early, their finishing plans leave a ton to be desired. I’ll be absolutely shocked if Manhertz is anywhere close to contributing. Same with Karvala but to a lesser extent. Hawthorne was this for Kentucky more or less last year. Manhertz is producing pedestrian numbers against high school talent. Expecting that to translate against men immediately is foolish on the staff. Too many smart people in the room not to know better. That’s not to mention injury concerns. Anyway, this has been my mantra since the “plans” were laid out to the fanbase. ronzo4IU 1 Quote

If he’s scholly #13 and you want to see what you’ve got after a year of getting his a$$ whooped by Sherrell that’s ok with me. He’s probably got a better chance than Acimovic because he moves better. And the stroke’s alright. Crimson and Cream, go iu bb, taco corp and 4 others 7 Quote

Last player we know that was brought in (Wang) has quite a bit more value than Winker. Winker has more of a vibe of being a player that enters the portal and doesn't find a suitor. All signs point to a back up big option. I know people hate it, but Rabjohns (who is very friendly with Carr) said 2 of the last 3 we’re going to be practice guys. This fits that. And it’s a terrible idea now just as it was a terrible idea then. Hopefully someone can think things over before final decisions are made.
