He will probably do pretty well in that role on that team IMO. Quote

Will be interesting if Lucas pops for a bigger Job next cycle. Especially if he has another good season. I think he has the potential to be an elite recruiter. BA47591 and Home Jersey 1 1 Quote

Suppose it would depend on what jobs open up next cycle but I think in the current environment Miami is probably a pretty good place to be. Place sells itself, has a ton of money, and conveniently located to some great talent. Very curious to watch and see how Lucas sets Dorn up for success (or not) next year. Interesting point on the Harris comparison for sure. WayneFleekHoosier 1 Quote
Papacap Posted Friday at 10:40 PM Posted Friday at 10:40 PM I feel like this is similar to a fantasy football auction draft. Patience and you get a diamond for lower cost later in the draft. Or, I’m with my wife and her friends and I’m already drunk. Maybe both. American HoosierX and Stuhoo 1 1 Quote

RaceToTheTop Posted Saturday at 12:43 AM Posted Saturday at 12:43 AM Devin Williams (6'10", FAU) is a player that would really fit for IU. After he entered the portal he received interest from Kentucky, Arizona, and Syracuse -- but so far has not signed anywhere. 7.5 ppg and 5.2 rpg in 24 mpg; defensively he's a big rim protector -- averaged 2.6 blocks per game. ronzo4IU, OGIUAndy, BtownStrength and 4 others 7 Quote
BA47591 Posted Saturday at 12:42 PM Posted Saturday at 12:42 PM My critique on Dorn. Not a good enough athlete to play both sides of the ball in the Big Ten. Not much of a first step. He was the epitome of a streak shooter. Half of the ACC schedule is pretty soft. He could have solid numbers. He is senior, maybe with the 5for5 rule he could become solid scorer. AH1971 Posted Sunday at 01:30 AM Posted Sunday at 01:30 AM Bradshaw is the perfect 17-18 mpg big this team needs off the bench. He’s a quality depth piece and good enough to the point where you won’t fall off a cliff if Samet or Sherrell get hurt. His lack of development over the course of his career is concerning, but at this stage he is what he is and that’s more than competent for the role we need to fill the most. ronzo4IU and RaceToTheTop 2 Quote

RaceToTheTop Posted Sunday at 01:48 PM Posted Sunday at 01:48 PM Interesting to note that although we've heard that Junjie Wang was a heavy U Mass lean, he has not committed anywhere yet. Could be he is looking for the right $ and playing time combination still. I do think we are getting close to the point where those still in the portal are going to have to reevaluate their price tag/playing time 'promises'. ronzo4IU 1 Quote

There haven’t been major signings in the whole nation for the past three or four days. It seems to be a quiet time with most of the major players committed. FYI, adding Williams to Indiana's roster on Torvik moves IU from 25 to 22. That said, the fact that he has had P5 teams recruiting him but he hasn't signed seems to say he's either asking for above market NIL or above market playing time. Quote

Here is where different bigs mentioned here that are still available would rank IU's roster. Note that currently IU is ranked 25 by Torvik Junjie Wang, San Francisco -- improves team, but no ranking change (25) Devin Williams, FAU -- up 3 spots (22) Jordan Burks, UCF -- up 3 spots (22) Aaron Bradshaw, Memphis -- up 3 spots (22) Musa Sagnia, NC State -- no improvement Steven Olowoniyi, Oregon State -- no improvement David Fuchs, San Francisco -- up 1 spot (24) can not check either Conrad Luczyski or Ja'Quay Randolph since they were D2 last year Okechukew Okeke, Albany -- no improvement Yaak Yaak, Oregon State -- no improvement Just for ***** and giggles, Allen Graves would move up IU 10 spots (15) Robert Miller, LSU -- up 3 spots (22) Austin Mauer, Seattle -- up 1 spot (24) Hamad Mousa, Cal Poly -- up 3 spots (22) I can check others if names are thrown out. IMO, Burks would be hard get -- he's coming off a season of 13.3 ppg and 4.8 rpg with a power 5 team. Allen Graves was just thrown in to see what could be done with unlimited $ for the next spot. The need for another big right now is to get someone in to make the floor higher mainly and raise the ceiling slightly. There HAS to be at least one more capable big in case of injury and there an argument that should obtain two more bigs to protect from injury. Y'all know I love Devin Williams case for a roster spot but I think he might be overpricing himself. Aaron Bradshaw would be a safe pick. Ja'Quay Randolph put up monster numbers at the D2 level but no idea how he translates; he did play three games against low D1 schools last season (Kennesaw State, Citadel, and South Carolina Upstate) and averaged 11.3 pts and 8.7 rebounds in those three games. Robert Miller put up 6 points and 4 rebounds in 20 mpg at LSU and is another safe pick. Dave from Dayton, HoosierHoopster, BtownStrength and 3 others 4 2 Quote
