The 6-foot-1 guard out of Oak Park, Michigan spent one season at Indiana, but did not appear in a game due to injury. Has also spent time at Cleveland State and Drexel. He averaged 11.1PPG, 3.1APG and 3.0RPG for Drexel in 2024-25. Shot nearly 40% from 3. Would love to know how much Drake and Harris received in NIL last season for not playing a second. Brill 1 Quote

Mustaf can guard a four in a pinch, and Karvala is ... tall ;) We have three spots that we will still likely fill. Stay tuned; at least one should be a big kid. As others have said, a Sam Alexis 5/5 return would be pretty perfect. This doesn’t instill my confidence given what other top tier teams are moving on. We can’t afford to rely on these possible scenarios if we want to be relevant. Hopefully what we have invested in our GM it seems like we should be moving towards a solid roster with plenty of depth. “Depth” being the keyword. My worry is that it’s seeming to be based on a lot of “ifs” that we get the 55 deal and possibly someone like Alexis willing to come back to IU, and if that doesn’t work out, then we are left to the bargain bin. Not to get too off topic here, but playoff hockey might be the most exciting version of any major sport imo. Back to topic...would like to see at least 1 big and 1 combo forward. I'm happy where we are but need some depth for injuries or foul trouble. RaceToTheTop, WayneFleekHoosier, AZ Hoosier and 2 others 4 1 Quote

I'm happy where we are but need some depth for injuries or foul trouble. Seems about right. We’ve got around a 15-30 ranked team as it stands. We’ve got some solid potential. A couple studs. A few what ifs. Some freshman with potential that look way underdeveloped to contribute that it seems we are counting on. If one of them pop plus Mustaf or Harris we should be fine. If not…. Wish we would have added one more top 6 guy to the roster then depth at the 5. That roster would push up 5 spots and some versatility. Will Sisley improve enough? Can Harris contribute? Is the 3 ball going to be abysmal? The freshman as I mentioned above appear frail as can be (sans Moody). Lindsay isn’t really a 1. Even though he can play it some. So we don’t really have a back up 1 in case of injury. Moody? Still holding on to a glimmer of hope they rethink these last couple spots. Until they are filled, we’ve still got time and hope. Pagoda Posted yesterday at 12:05 PM Posted yesterday at 12:05 PM I don't think IU is lowering standards or giving up on the last three spots. If we had done that, we would have already signed some players to round out the roster so the staff could take a vacation. I'm pretty sure we're low on money. We've spent a fortune and there is a limit to what we can spend -- I don't think we can just allocate another $3M to IUBB for another obvious impact player. I get why our fans would like IU to do that. I suspect the staff is scouting for the best we can get for our remaining budget. It's not ideal and not easy, but that's where we seem to be. There will likely be uncertainty with part of the rotation. The staff is going to have to get some upside surprise from some players on the roster for us to have a really exciting year. That's pretty normal, a staff either scouts well and develops or they don't. And if they don't, nothing very good is going to happen. Crimson and Cream, str8baller and Home Jersey 3 Quote

It wouldn’t surprise me if they have a small pile they could throw at the right guy as the market drags on and prices come down. And if that doesn’t happen they can just fill out the roster and roll mostly as-is. I get the same sense as you, though, that they’re unlikely to get in a bidding war for somebody at this point. Agree. That feels like the best case scenario. It's kinda easy to picture how this happened. To close on the big time signings like Sherrell, we probably went a little higher than we wanted, which kept eating away at the budget for the last few spots. But it was a better move to close on those guys than be sitting here without them and using their budget to sign a bunch of mid players. We'll see. Regardless, it's been a pretty exciting and solid portal. Still #1 on On3 and #3 on 24/7. Offseason champs! Crimson and Cream and HoosierHoopster 2 Quote
